LG vs. CE: Lawful Good is Victorious!

Howlie will abstain...being stunned and all.

(doesn't bother me either way - be nice to have a tree to hide behind if I can just get an invisible dust mote as my next contender...)

If the terrain will change after Howlie, it'd be far easier to change it now as my plans would change drastically in the new terrain and I'd hate to have to artifically maneuver combatants later.

(continuing round 160)
From out of the disc steps . . . Meineke's older brother, Maximus Rex. The gargantuan radiant dragon appears at 40n20e. "Why have you called me, Lady Mariangela?"

Lady Mariangela speaks directly into Max's mind, Because Celestia has need of your powerful battle skills. Although the weak dragon you see on the ground before looks helpless, there will be more and more of the chaotic evil forces entering the arena. Please help me fight them, but first let's keep this one from fleeing or getting killed too quickly so that I may have time to call upon others.

Maximus Rex glares in hatred down at the chaotic evil dragon, barely restraining the killing blow. "Very well."

round 161 (since I know Howlie can take no action)
Howlie takes no action.

Max does the equivalent of a dragon shrug, "I despise touching this filthy creature." Nevertheless he moves to grapple Howlie.

Lady Mariangela flies to 60n25e10z, casts another spell, and another gate opens to the realms of celestia. This time, Maximus Rex's twin brother Optimus Prime steps through, appearing at 65n45e. A similar conversation occurs between Optimus and Lady Mariangela.

Attached is the stat block in DMG II format for Maximus Rex. Also included here if you prefer: [sblock] Maximus Rex (Very Old Radiant Dragon) CR 20

Frightful Presence (Ex): A young adult or older dragon can unsettle foes with its mere presence. The ability takes effect automatically whenever the dragon attacks, charges, or flies overhead. Creatures within a radius of 30 feet × the dragon’s age category (270ft) are subject to the effect if they have fewer HD than the dragon. A potentially affected creature that succeeds on a Will save (DC 10 + ½ dragon’s HD + dragon’s Cha modifier) (DC 34) remains immune to that dragon’s frightful presence for 24 hours. On a failure, creatures with 4 or less HD become panicked for 4d6 rounds and those with 5 or more HD become shaken for 4d6 rounds. Dragons ignore the frightful presence of other dragons.
Keen Senses (Ex): A dragon sees four times as well as a human in shadowy illumination and twice as well in normal light.
Crush (Ex): This special attack allows a flying or jumping dragon of at least Huge size to land on opponents as a standard action, using its whole body to crush them. Crush attacks are effective only against opponents three or more size categories smaller than the dragon (though it can attempt normal overrun or grapple attacks against larger opponents).
A crush attack affects as many creatures as can fit under the dragon’s body. Creatures in the affected area must succeed on a Reflex save (DC equal to that of the dragon’s breath weapon) or be pinned, automatically taking bludgeoning damage during the next round unless the dragon moves off them. If the dragon chooses to maintain the pin, treat it as a normal grapple attack. Pinned opponents take damage from the crush each round if they don’t escape.
A crush attack deals the indicated damage plus 1½ times the dragon’s Strength bonus (round down).
Tail Sweep (Ex): This special attack allows a dragon of at least Gargantuan size to sweep with its tail as a standard action. The sweep affects a half-circle with a radius of 30 feet (or 40 feet for a Colossal dragon), extending from an intersection on the edge of the dragon’s space in any direction. Creatures within the swept area are affected if they are four or more size categories smaller than the dragon. A tail sweep automatically deals the indicated damage plus 1½ times the dragon’s Strength bonus (round down). Affected creatures can attempt Reflex saves to take half damage (DC equal to that of the dragon’s breath weapon).
Dispel Darkness (Su): Automatically dispel any darkness spell or spell effect of 9th level or lower within 60ft.
Healing Touch (Su): 9/day – cure critical wounds, regenerate, remove blindness/deafness, remove disease, remove paralysis, restoration

At the risk of spoiling I2K's party...

At this rate, we may as well just declare LG the winner - really can't see anthing making a dent - the dragons alone can keep healing themselves and take turns pounding on an opponent. The breath weapon eliminates incorporeal as a threat, which could have been the only hope. However, I will throw some fodder into the arena if just to provide some entertainment.

Q: how does anyone know how long Howlie is stunned? How is that possible?

I2K knows the stunning spell works for a minimum of two rounds, so he assumed correctly that he could take another action. After this he must wait for my indication to go ahead.

You are probably right about CE losing, but you may be surprised that some creatures may be able to respond. Banishment is still useful in this situation, for example.

At any rate, we can't make a gross assumption, it's why we play the game. Keep in mind that after the first couple of clowns get blasted, CE can rotate through creatures in the same round by teleporting next to the wall, tapping three times in abject horror of what they are about to face, and teleporting back out. LG cannot perform any actions until CE decides what creature has a chance to do something. This is a consequence of the new arena terrain, so it is not as much torture to lose.

Given that, I hope I2K will consider it a challenge to beat the situation he will set up for himself and take back the reins of CE after a while.

Heh - I think I'd rather let the flaying occur* than just tap out all the time.

"Over the top of the trench boys, how accurate you think those machine are?"

*unless another Aspect appears...
