D&D 5E Light release schedule: More harm than good?

I want table top RPG products. I couldn't give a rats arse about card games, board games, a movie, and video games. There are plenty of other fantasy RPG video games coming out that satisfy that itch. There is a new Elder Scrolls and Fallout coming so I'm not worried about a D&D video game.
And I'd like a new Marvel movie every month.

But that would almost certainly reduce the quality of the movies and most people would get tired of them and stop going. We'd likely get far more movies but the studio needs money every year, not just one. And the last few years have shown that reboots are a gamble, so they can't just start again and again.
It'd be a short term gain for a long term loss.

My best guess is that they're working on the tie-in products for the movie - an adventure, maybe a setting, board games, video games, card games, toys, etc etc.

Of course, with the ongoing lawsuit they can't currently be certain that there even will be a movie, so announcing anything would be premature.

that there will be a movie is a given. The question is not "Will there be a D&D movie?"
The question is, "Who gets to make the movie?"
Possible Outcomes I see, in my estimate of declining probability:
  • Hasbro wins, Universal makes movie
  • Sweetpea Wins, Warner Bro's makes move
  • Sweetpea wins, but is told they cannot sell their rights, Courtney makes another lame direct-to-DVD.
  • Sweetpea wins, is told they cannot sell their rights, gets paid off by hasbro to revert them.
  • Sweetpea & WB settle with Hasbro for undisclosed sum, Universal makes movie
  • Judge pulls a wild hair; both sets of rights valid, both WB and Universal make movies
  • Judge declares "D&D" to be an invalid trademark, sends everyone home. Fans make movies, Universal makes FR movie.

We'll how about you go through them and make a list?
Because I have better things to do on a Sunday than read through every AP and module looking for unique mechanics?

Wh can't you use a good trap more than once?
A couple times sure. But if you use two traps evey level, you'll see each trap five times in a 1-20 campaign.
Better to make your own...

You are really trying to make this more difficult than it really is.
Just being realistic. Converting isn't effortless, not if you want a good experience. The more work you put in, the better the experience.

Eh?

You aren't comparing like for like.

You are the one making the statement so you need to back it up.

1: You substitute a new monster for one in the MM.
2: You replace them with traps in the DMG.
3: I've already told you about treasure. Treasure is a reward, not necessarily a necessity. You add what ever treasure you want.

Most modules do not require Pathfinder mechanics in order for them to run. You plug and play what ever mechanics you want. 5th editions mechanics are easy as hell to plug in. Everything you need is in the three corebooks.

I think you are making it harder on yourself by throwing up your own roadblocks.

Do you concern yourself with monster and trap equivalencies? CR doesn't mean the same thing in each game...

I DID! I listed a half dozen APs each with unique mechanics and you said it dodn't count because it wasn't comprehensive.
I'm sure I could spend an hour looking through modules and pointing out the examples of mass combat, performance combat, chases, unsupported monsters, incomparable traps, and more and that wouldn't be enough because there'd be some modules I missed...
