Little things that make you smile

First Post
So, in this thread, we've spent 3+ pages griping about things that piss us off (with a preponderance of traffic issues :) ).

In an effort to not be so much of a grouch...what are little things that happen to you that bring a smile to your face, or at least make the day a little bit easier?

Here's a few, to start:

- When I'm walking up (or driving up) to a street corner, and, just as I get there, the light turns green

- When I find a parking space, and the parking meter still has money / time in it.

- The "leave a penny / take a penny" dish at cash registers.

When someone holds open a door for me. I am doubly impressed when it is a child that does it.

When my 2 yr old tells me or dshai that she loves us. (I could list things that she does that make me smile all day.)

When I'm walking past someone and they make eye contact and nod, smile or say hello rather than pretending they don't see me.

Many things my kids do, like snuggling up with me on the couch or playing together nicely (of course many other things they do belong in the other thread).

Kittens in a boot. Just picture that in your head. I loathe cats and that makes me smile.

I'll need to see if I can dig up a picture of my cat wearing my shoes. He does this of his own volition...if my shoes are sitting next to each other on the floor, he likes to sit on top of them, with one forepaw in each shoe. It's as if he's thinking, "I *know* that this is how these work."

I love kittens too ... but I also love cats, so maybe this is no surprise why it makes me smile. ;)

In no order:
  • Seeing my girlfriend
  • When I end up doing lots of complicated working out, it making sense and gettign the right answer
  • Watching my cat chase her tail/paper/chair legs
  • People being polite
  • Chatting with Steph, we always laugh. Even when doing maths.

I'm not sure what else.

Having a good DnD game.

Solving a complex math problem and getting it right.

Eating food.

Drinking Cream Soda.

Going to the bathroom.

Reading a good book.

Taking a shower.

Feeling rested after I wake up.

Snuggling in to a soft bed.

Itching a bad itch.

Rolling good when I am playing DnD.
