Little things that make you smile

The cries of anguish from the players when I kill their PCs again.

Oh, that's a big thing that makes me smile.

Hrm.

Getting to the elevator and finding that its already on this floor.
My 2 year old daughter. Pretty much all the time. ( She's little, it counts )
Strong coffee, black, with lots of sugar.

Why? To be quite honest, I would never play under a DM like this. Our group (including the DM) are all about having fun, and he works hard to make the game fun for the players. Relishing in the killing of PC's is just plain stupid IMO.

When my cat wakes me up by licking my nose.

Thunderstorms at night.

Finding money on the ground.

Getting a parking lot very close to the store.

My goofy 13 year old son.

My gaming group.

Getting my gaming group to go along with a new house rule or variant rule.

Staying up until sunrise for no reason other than I can, and sleeping all day.

The purple finches who come back year after year to build in the same nest on my porch and how they come to trust me when I check their hatchlings.

Knowing my 19 year old cat is still fairly healthy and is outliving me out of spite.

Buying new dice.

Prescription Painkillers.

Mt. Dew, baybeeee!

When the PCs can be back on their feet even before combat is over thanks to revenence, and then gets a true ressurection by the 26th level material component ignoring cleric when combat is over, that's about the only challenge they get. And allow me to say that now that this game is over, I'm never touching the Epic rules again.
