Ok, Say i want Suffocate, but not the actual suffocation part, just the slowed down and penalty part. Am I better off proposing a "Slow" power? Or can I take a -1 flaw on the power to only have a partial effect?

One of the really cool things about the mixed PL is the ability to have sidekicks and such. So, does someone want to do an interwoven backstory with me? Let me know, I don't have an idea for my PL 8 charachter yet. Thanks.
While I appreciate the thought Gideon, the Character thread was probably not the place to ask.

That said, he does have not only a point, but an interesting idea. It's been suggested before I think, but feel free to create a character and a sidekick with a seperate player. Since you're different people, both could be in the same adventure.

So, this occured to me while statting up dinosaur forms for my Kid Dino character. When he's shapeshifted to a dinosaur, is Growth considered Inherent/Permanent? I would tend to think yes...as it's inherent to the form. Someone could only drain his shapeshifting...not the size of his form.

I'm just wondering if anyone has seen a ruling that would say otherwise.

Thanks!

When he is shapeshifted, the growth is part of the shapeshift, the drain would have to be targeted at the shapeshift power as a whole. Drain is actually not as powerful in this edition, it only drains a single PP a rank, not whole ranks, so it probably wont be much of an issue.

Point me to the correct spot and I'll move it.

it's there now, it's fine. Here is the spot to discuss things though, and it's quoted, so go nuts :)

I'm not attached enough to Purple Haze that I wouldn't create a sidekick for someone myself, but I'm sure someone's got an idea for a hero who needs a sidekick.

Or, Gideon, you could recruit or adopt a hero yourself.

FYI, the Paralyze power does what I was looking for, for any curious. You take it with the slow only flaw.

If it is inherent to your natural form, it is innate. You're natural form is human, so I would say no.

An example of an innate power would be shrining to small size if you play a kid.

It would, however, be always on, since you can't change it.

Edit:

Actualy, upon further review, it doesn't matter if it's inherant or not, since you would drain, nullify, or boost shapeshift, and not the powers in shape shift.

Another possibility is to create a family. Perhaps, I could create a brother to your Psyren and maybe somebody else could create an Aunt or Uncle who has custody of the children. If anyone is interested in making an intertwining history, Hero/Sidekick or Family or something else, email me and we can work something out.
