If you have Alternate Form with the Permanent Flaw, can you have alternate powers to that? Since it says the alternate powers can't be used at the same time as any other in the array (including the original power I'm guessing) can I even have a permanent power with alternate powers since I can't turn off the first? (Hope I'm explaining this right.)

Too easy... No. Alternate power can only be put on not permanent powers. The reason is simple:

Alternate Power said:
Alternate power cannot be used or maintained at the same time as any other power in teh same array; they are mutually exclusive.

It is on page 108, start of last paragraph of teh first column of the Alternate Power pwer feat description.

A permanent power is always in use, so it can't be part of an array.

Also, for the spirit of the power: Alternate Form, I don't see fit to put it permanent. It is made to have teh possibility to switch back to anotehr form. If you want your form to be permanent, I suggest you to buy each power separatly and put them permanent.

Velmont's right, you can't have an alternate permanent power, since permanent is always active, but an alternate power is not.

If anyone is interested in GMing, but would like to start with a pre-written adventure, I have one that I haven't read. I would be willing to let someone else GM it.

Hi everyone--I just bought M&M at GenCon, and I saw that there weren't too many adventures going on in here, but I checked and it seems that may be for lack of ready characters. Having finished reading the book, I'm definitely willing to try GMing if we need more GMs to build the subforum's size. You might also consider a bait-and-switch adventure that is advertised in Talking the Talk and then leads the players over here if we're low on players. I might also be poking around with a character concept too some time.

Cheers!

I've tried advertizing, particularly pointing people here who ask about M&M games.

Quake should be done soon, though not sure how many active players are left in it.

Cool! I'm building a character, and boy, is customising these powers complicated! But at least it's a lot of fun :)

Too bad on the advertising--perhaps there aren't that many M&M players on the boards? Regardless, I've got a fun intrigue/political/exploration/combat adventure idea in the works for when we have more players :)

RA, just to tells about teh PP gain for a mission, we discussed it once and came to teh conclusion that raising by one Power Level per year would do a nice rate. That's why 1 PP per month, with a few bonus of completed mission and roleplay (and penalty inactivity and failed mission) would do a nice rate of progression.

No biggy, I'm glad to have extra PP either way. It just seems really fast--compare to LEW, where the time-based XP will raise you 1/20th of 1/19th of the way to the maximum level per month (and it slows down remarkably after level 8), rather than 1/15th of 1/10th of the maximum level (and it never slows down), and it winds up being 2.533 times faster than LEW at first and eventually even faster than that.

Hmmm... I was just going to say that it equals less than 1 power level per year. (15 points roughly equals a PL). I guess that isn't true. LEW adventures do dole out XPs for almost any encounter so I really don't know how it balances out. I do know I'd like to get the chance to add some HPs to my characters.
