Hmmm... I was just going to say that it equals less than 1 power level per year. (15 points roughly equals a PL). I guess that isn't true. LEW adventures do dole out XPs for almost any encounter so I really don't know how it balances out. I do know I'd like to get the chance to add some HPs to my characters.
I'm talking about just time XP now, not the discretionary extra PP Velmont mentioned above or the mission-accomplished PP ;)

As to Hero Points, if you're on my adventure, I will be doling them out fairly regularly for making me laugh / good RPing. I don't know if we'll see it as often as I did playing at the table, but if we do, you can expect lots of HP :)

The 1 PP per month is a recomendation for awards, but there is nor "Award per month" thing. It is an all in one award recomendation. it's a little faster than normal play, but that was the point, since normal play these events would take 1-3 sessions.

Quake ran for 9 months, which also means in theory I'm up for 9 GM credits btw.

Also note, PL level increase is not automatic nor assumed. While it technicaly is where the ranking is, we are under no compultion to actualy allow anyone to go beyond PL 10 when they reach 165PP. It's something we'll probably have to discuss, but at the moment, there is no way to raise your PL (even for PL8 characters who get up to 150 PP)

HPs fly out for interesting things, as well as complications. Gun Monkey is pissed for example, and has not slowed down to allow for someone to come heal him while injured. He also scarred the heck out of some children. For me, it's hit or miss depending on the game. Some games make me more generous than others, so it's usually the player mood.

Ah, roger that! I must have misunderstood from Velmont then :)

Yup, I know what you mean. I think I earned 5 HP in Piratecat's Antiheroes, but that was a combination of crazy supervillain antics on my part and disabling my supersuit every time we got into a fight on his part

No biggy, I'm glad to have extra PP either way. It just seems really fast--compare to LEW, where the time-based XP will raise you 1/20th of 1/19th of the way to the maximum level per month (and it slows down remarkably after level 8), rather than 1/15th of 1/10th of the maximum level (and it never slows down), and it winds up being 2.533 times faster than LEW at first and eventually even faster than that.
You're assuming you ever advance towards PL 20 in the game.

Also, of note, that's a suggestion for TOTAL awards. Not only the time awards. And you can advance fairly quickly if you try in LEW by actualy doing things (See L4 Juliana)

I've had a character go through 13 in one session.

I agree with you about Juliana, and I think that's the point, now that I understand the award system here better. Giving PP based on accomplishments makes sense to me more than based on time. If you try to give out 1 PP per month (maybe + or - 1 PP based on RP or whatnot), then the players who post once every other day at best and take a year to clear out a short adventure get nearly the same PP as the players who post several times a day and zoom through a really long adventure and two short ones in the same time frame.

Of course, it isn't a big problem, and I have no worries either way (more power is definitely cool with me! :))--I was just curious based on the advancement rate suggested in the M&M book (which was 1 PP per adventure).

I screwed up HP with PP. I'm not too worried about advancement. I'm just hoping to get some play time in. As far as PPs goes, I wouldn't mind reading some more GMs adventures to see how they handle things. I purposely didn't read Quake because I didn't want to rip anything off, but now that its finished I think I'll dig in.
