Episode Detail: Tricia Tanaka Is Dead

Hurley's discovery of a wrecked car sends him on a mission of hope---for himself and the troubled Charlie, who's freaked out about Desmond's prediction of his demise. And Kate and Sawyer reunite with their fellow castaways, but Kate is still torn about leaving Jack behind with the Others. Flashback sequences explore Hurley's relationship with his father (Cheech Marin) and developments just prior to his journey to Australia. Carmen Reyes: Lillian Hurst. Rousseau: Mira Furlan.

Cheech Marin as Hurley's dad? Heh...

Also, my friend read that you have to watch to the very end tonight. I don't know if that means wait until after the credits, or after the "LOST" logo at the end of the show, or just the last scene of the show.

Yeah, very interesting. Seems that lots of the Lostaways have daddy issues.

I thought it was also interesting that Hurley said pretty much the exact same line that Walt said to his Dad in Australia back in season 1: "I'm not going anywhere with you."

Also, I think Sawyer missed Hurley while he was away as a prisoner of the Others...I think he had 4 new nicknames for Hurley this episode alone!

Jumbotron, Snuffy, International House of Pancakes, one other....

All in all a very enjoyable episode. Nice mix of character interaction and nudging along the story.

Sweet Dancing Santa Claws! This show is ruined for me. Ruined, I tell you ruined.

They totally used three different arms for the sequence where Hurley gets the arm and the key from the dog. That ruined the show for me. :p

Heh.

Cute episode. Rather up beat, actually, but maybe we were due an upbeat episode.

At a guess, I would say whatever the incident was way back when, the magnetic anomaly that fubarded the island, is what caused the van to wreck.

Somehow, this is the first time I ever noticed Cheech Marin has a hair lip.

So now Hurley has developed, after a great deal of thought, passion and effort, a nickname for Sawyer. Red Neck Man.

“Why is there a head back here?”

At least the episode didn't spend 55 minutes doing flashbacks this time around...

I found it an interesting one. Seeing the four of them riding around in a circle was a refresher. Of course, now they need to really discuss what they're going to do with a working car. Depending on how much fuel is left, maybe they can get somewhere on the island with it. A surprise attack rescue of Jack, with a getaway vehicle?

And Kate, Locke and Sayid bringing info to the Others? Finally, they seem to be doing something for the first time in a long while.

Maybe the plot is finally going to start moving again..

Banshee

I like Hurley shows but just filler.

They have a MAP! DING, DING, DING! No bell goes off in their heads.

Got to wonder about the thoughts of the others...
...They got a boat, WTF!
...They got a car, WTF!

Man, those castaways always get the good toys!

Very fun episode. It's nice to see the characters having fun for once.

Sadly, Hurley is now a dead man. He has overcome his past beliefs and moved on as a person. We know how the Island reacts to that. Expect him to die saving Charlie any day now.

A decent episode overall. Good balance between flashbacks and current events. No Others = plus in my book.

This episode also had some great lines. Sawyer calling Hurley "Jumbotron" and Hurley: "Sometimes you have to look Death in the face and say, 'whatever, man'."

Good stuff.
