Lost 2-28-07

Just out of curiosity- was I sleeping at some point during the past three seasons, or did Hurley's revelations about his girlfriend and best friend running off together come from nowhere? I recognized the stories about his mom's house burning down, his grandpa dying- but not that one. My friend seemed to think they'd told that story before, but the only thing I remember is Hurley's friend Johnny being really upset that Hurley didn't confide in him about the lottery win, and prior to that, Hurley finally asking Starla out.

So am I crazy, or did they just slip that little tidbit in without expounding on it?

Trisha Tanaka's dead. Mister Clucks. It got hit by a meteor. Or an asteroid. I don't know the difference but . . . it's gone. - Hurley

Also, my friend read that you have to watch to the very end tonight. I don't know if that means wait until after the credits, or after the "LOST" logo at the end of the show, or just the last scene of the show.

Was there anything after the credits?

In a flash back last year, we see what happened between Hurley watching the lotto numbers on the TV and being discovered as the winner. His best friend was played by the skinny dude who played the lead spaz in The New Guy and Hurley was crushing on a woman who worked at music store.

Between the flash backs, apparently the friend and woman became very stupid, forgot the friendship, forgot the warm and generous nature of Hurley and did not know what Hurley being rich would mean, so they ran away.

As for what happened at the end, I sat through it all and saw Kate talking to the French Woman, then the credits, then promos for next week, which featured Locke doing something that cheeses off Sayid.

The Flashbacks jump around in time, so they either felt no need to deal with that on screen or it will be dealt with later.
