Kevin,

I am changing your color to "Yellow".

Thanks, but...

SM,

Thanks, but bill2825 won't be able to make the 10/2 date...so "Yellow" is freed up ;)!

All,

I popped over to the sign up thread and did an initial count; GM/DMs: 12 Players: 25 for a total of 37 people. Is it me, or is that number a little lower then expected. I know we lost a few people with the date change, but it seems like more people initially said they would show up then are actually signing up for the games. The last "unofficial" sign in thread had a total of 75 people who were planning on attending. So currently we have a little less then half of the "unofficial" count.

I plan on putting up a poster at my FLGS; the Game Parlor, sometime this week. I hope it helps to get a few more people. I think this can be a great way to meet fellow gamers from the local area.

Any other suggestions for recruiting more players? How many are going to show up from the UMD game club? Are we going to have a continuation of the game sign up at the opening of the Game Day?

I wouldn't sweat it just yet. It's summer and it''s two and half months before the event. We're not counting on paid attendence to cover the expenses, so even if only 37 people show up, it's not a big deal. Lots more room to spread out, and keep the evil CCGers away. :D

I might have one or two from my group go, but they're incapable of making plans that far in advance.

We are scheduling W-W-A-A-A-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y out for a EN World Game day. We will have a number of last minute add/drops...plus those that never RSVP or sign-up for a game...plus a number from the TGC. I think DRM's last headcount was ~ 20...but I wouldn't be suprised if we get a few more than that from the on-campus group.

I know there are a couple in my gaming group that will probably come, but haven't signed up yet either.

I don't think we really need to worry about "advertising" widely for this...this is really designed more as small get-together as opposed to a "come one, come all" Con. The last thing we need, IMO, is 40-50 people to show up with no DMs, no open game slots and nothing for them to do.

Just my opinion, however. I would hold off putting up posters until Labor Day, since many peoples plans should firm up and so U of Mer's that are off for the summer will be back.

My 2 coppers...
