Recently i saw a malls and moron's thread closed because it showed sexist views about women haveing pms, don't get me wrong, i try not to be more sexist than the next 15 year old freak, but i don't think it's healthy to stop all conversation pokeing fun at the other sex. I believe that jokeing about stuff like this is healthy because it prevents us from doing the really immature things that dictate that we are out of controll, violence twards the other gender. all the times we hear about rape or any other horrors on the news i believe it's usually because they couldn't sort it out by simple conversation. If we allow ourselves to poke fun at the other sex and likewise we can still laugh about it, if we become serouse about the subject, it's more than likely than we won't end up with a situation that we can laugh about .

in short:allow us to laugh and be laughed at.

i apologise if i offend anyone with either my views or my horrible spelling

Spike, if you have a problem with an admin, the best way to deal with this is to e-mail the admin in question. Don't call him out on the boards like this. They have +2 flaming swords of editing :D, you know?

I even hear that the mega-admin, I dare not say his name here, has a +7 vorpal sword of Ip blocking. But that is just the legend, of course.

Tata.

I clearly stated that if anyone wishes to discuss it, then they should email me. Remarkably enough, "email me" doesn't mean "start a new thread." :)

We have a policy that when a thread is closed, new threads shouldn't be started about the same subject or objecting to the moderation. We're always pleased to talk with people about it - that's why our email addresses are available - but this policy does a pretty good job of stopping ongoing flame wars.

It's also worth pointing out that threads like this belong in the Meta forum, please. I'll slide this over.

In any event, if you want to poke fun at the other gender, then there are lots of places to do that. This isn't going to be one of them, though. This is a place for primarily talking about D&D, and avoiding gender-based and racial-based stereotypes goes a long ways towards making people feel welcome here. Think of it this way; that thread was about a man making fun of female stereotypes. If it was about a white guy making fun of black stereotypes, it would be just as inappropriate. That's why it got closed.

Further discussion by email, please. Thanks.
