Mieville's "Perdido Street" adaptations

Has any one attempted to run a campaign set in the world in China Mieville's Perdido Street Station? It practically screams for an adaptation. I am especially interested in an adaptation of the thaumaturgical magic in the book.

I haven't, but I find his books very inspirational, and have thought about doing such an adaptation. In an interview, Mieville (himself an ex-gamer) expressed interest in someone doing such a treatment; if you're very serious about it, it may be worth contacting him with your ideas.

Well, it's not a direct adaption, but Perdido Street Station certainly was one of the inspirations for Urbis...
