[MM2e] Salton City Needs Heroes! Episode 1: Premiere

Mr TV sent the text message and returned the phone to the officer. "Excuse me officer the lady here dropped this it might be key to solving the case.."

With a sly smirk, the officer took the phone then handed it off to one of his partners. "She must have been trying to dispose of evidence. Thank you for helping us out, citizen."

 

[Shayuri]

Keiko glanced at her phone and frowned. It wasn't that she didn't trust the others...

It's just that they're all pretty dim.

"Okay!" she chirped brightly to the others. "I thought I heard something in here, so I'm covering the Mayor's retreat. Make sure nothing gets him when he comes out!"

She closed the line and gave the Mayor a serious look entirely at odds with how her voice had sounded.

"Don't go outside just yet."

With that, Keiko turned her attention to the front doors to this building. Two shapes took blurry focus, and swiftly resolved into images of the Mayor and his savior, the heroic Kitsune! The two walked up to the glass doors, and Kitsune looked behind her as she pocketed her phone and waved the Mayor onward. The Mayor opened the door (with a little telekinetic help from the real Kitsune) and stepped outside, looking relieved that the danger was past.

 

[Blackrat]

After the threats are apparently gone, Sven slumbs down heaving and sweating. A cool breeze starts to swirl around him changing fast to a freezing blow. In few seconds the area around him is under a layer of thin frost. The leaves of a nearby palm look like they'd been suddenly painted white... "Whai ys yt sø høt hier!?"

Nondescript Office Building
"Okay! I thought I heard something in here, so I'm covering the Mayor's retreat. Make sure nothing gets him when he comes out!"

Kitsune turned to the mayor. "Don't go outside just yet."

Kitsune and the two illusions both step outside onto the blistering empty street. From her vantage point she can see the corner of the plaza where the Viking slumped down in the shade of a Palm tree. The area around him slowly began to turn white with frost and snow. Then after several seconds passed, Kitsune's view of the Viking is momentarily blocked as a prisoner transport truck is rounds the corner on it's trip back towards the police station.

Toward the opposite end of block, Kistune noticed the blockading squad car flash it's lights as it started maneuvering into the intersection. She knew well enough that this only meant one thing: The police department has decided that there was no more reason to restrict access to the plaza. Moments later, the police car speed off towards an unknown destination.

Immediately after the police cruiser was out of sight, Kitsune heard the sound of a vespa's engine revving up, and immediately senses that a girl had become visible. The vespa then takes off down the street....
Notice: 1d20+7=20 vs. DC. 15 = SUCCESS!
.... but luckily Kistune did manage to get a view of the license plate: 1HTVSPA

 

[Shayuri]

Kitsune dispels the images and quickly creates a new illusion...one of the license plate of the Vespa hovering in front of her. It'd have to do until she found a pen to write it down.

"All right Mayor, it looks like it's safe now. Come on, lets meet up with the others."

She leads the way out of the building, and sticks close to the Mayor as she leads him towards the other superheroes.

Mr TV strides towards Kitsune and the mayor offering his hand out to the rescued city leader "The Salton Stars are here now Mr Mayor, you're safe"
Mr TV nods at the mayor then presses his hand to his ear speaking into the headset
"Hey guys I think we've wrapped up the pilot lets rendevouz in the square for the moment"
Mr TV peers around the square as he watches for the remaining Stars to file in

The Viking seems much more comfortable now that the air around him is suitably chilled. He walks over to the others, a frozen trail following him. "Aah. A vyktöri! We celer... cebel... We pärti wyth iscrem?" He looks at the others expectedly.

Keiko gives the steaming, frost-laden Viking a look and shakes her head.

"We saved them this time, but the ones behind it all are still free. This could happen again anytime."

Then she glances at the Mayor with a little smile.

"If only Salton City, and its mayor, had protectors."

(Ping for GM? I've seen Relique on lately, but it's been awhile since we heard anything)

OOC: Been swamped by school work lately (5 classes suck when you only have time to do work for 4). Working my web Portfolio 1 site been a bitch, but I'm almost finished with it (and this quarter)... Course, not knowing if half the players actually are still alive was hampering my desire to update. If anything if everyone is still into it, I'll be able to fully update nextweek.
