PL 9 he said. Not sure we have a clear idea who is coming back and who is new, so I don't know that we can say if we have a gap.

So PL 9 gives us another 7 PP to spend. Thinking of Shadow, I've come up with these options:
1. Enhance his combat prowess - this is essentially what I've been doing, since his suite of powers is basically built out mostly how I want him.
2. Give him a shadowblast - his ranged capability really does kind of suck. The bolos just aren't that great except against mooks.
3. Increase his Regeneration rank.
4. Give him Enhanced Strength while in darkness.
5. Dump the points into the Sidekick advantage and build out his daughter Kim - This one kind of really appeals to me because I started out playing a lot of X-Men free-form co-op writing games. I mean, when I first read the setting and saw the Ravenwood Academy, I kind of fan-squealed a little bit LOL
So, thoughts?

Also just curious if anyone's played the Marvel Heroic RPG system? Fun system, more narrative, less fiddly numbers.

Book says 15 cp per level. 135 at PL9.
Yeah, but we'd already gotten some experience, so we were already halfway to PL9 with our original characters. 
Haven't played the Marvel system, Kahless. Haven't heard much about it either!
Your upgrade plan seems solid to me as well!
Kitsune would be spending most of the new points getting to PL9 baseline in defenses and attack. Any additional points I'd probably invest in better melee capabilities...perhaps someone can teach her martial arts?

1. The Marvel system was fun. Didn't play it a lot, unfortunately, but very free flowing. Unfortunately it ended after only 2 and a half products. I think it was a case of Marvel going: "Oh, we didn't think this would go anywhere or be as big a success as it is. Give us MOR MONEE!" To which Margaret Weiss replied, "Um...we're a small company. We can't afford that..." Marvel: YOINK!

Hm! Depends I guess! Ranged attacks are cool, but if you want to continue to focus on melee, enhanced strength would be great. Only working in darkness isn't a problem since two of us can create dark areas at will.
A sidekick daughter is an interesting idea, but it does raise the question of what she'd be doing? Is he sending her into danger?
