I would also imagine that the 'center T' intersection of it is a big open space also (at the crossroads of 1st Central and Northern Street. Sort of like Time Square itself

According to the Times Square Alliance there are 177 shops and stores (include Disney's big giant one, and a number of others big box stores; but others are much smaller), 44 major hotels & motels, 296 restaurants, and 81 'Entertainment & Attractions' centers (plus Broadway).

But I guess I understand about 'shopping centers' sounds off...

It's also worth saying that the size of 'a block' is somewhat arbitrary. In Minneapolis the city blocks are WAY bigger than I was used to from California. So eight city blocks can mean a pretty widely variable area. :)

Well that's what coming to an undeveloped place (and claiming it as being unclaimed lands and just killing or pushing off those that were there before), bulldozing it over and laying stuff out has a big advantage over naturally growing over thousands of years :)

I am nominally ready, at least for some RP- it will be a few days before I can get the character sheet polished and completely posted.

Should be effective enough- I moved most of her 'offense' to a device, and between that and the trip/feint/set-up stuff, she ought to be effective (if not in pure damage terms).

In terms of relevant background, Bella is from southern California (San Angeles), and is a freshman at Pine Oak Technical (where she might know Silver Streak, and least in civilian IDs). She is fascinated by metahumans, but also has an interest in folklore and mythology (perhaps she has run into Galatea's civilian ID at an exhibit of relevant artwork (Statuary related to the Hindu gods or something).

She would also have taken the public tour of Centurions Tower (and relevant downtown sites/exhibits); I was even toying with the idea of her having a part time job (tour guide or receptionist, likely) at the Tower- she would also have done at least some testing to see how good the anti-teleport screens are. She probably spends at least some of her free time at Atlas Dedication Park, musing on the responsibilities that come with having superpowers.

Bella started displaying powers at a very early age, and was a 'kid sidekick' for a while to the California-based techno-wizard known as Mercurio. She only appeared at charity functions and staged appearances, not in the field, over about two years and ending ten years ago (Age 6 through 8 for her). Mercurio has since retires, but still keeps track of things and tinkers a bit- Bella will have him as a Contact, and he is responsible for building her Portal Glove (not so secretly, he hopes she actually starts a hero career, instead of just STUDYING about heroes).

Warp's background looks great...

Also Princess Starlight had a great post over her last four days of saving folks so +1 Hero Point.

Everyone starts with one unless you have the Luck advantage

The funny thing is I sat down to write the second post. A few words into it, I wrote the little family vinette and then more and more backstory started flowing. When I got to Peter and Illya I realized I should split the post into two.

The idea was to show off her powers without needing to make an attack roll. And to show how even she does not understand them. Her aura is instant crowd control as was shown, but her instinct was to hang back and wait because crowds creep her out.

I hope I got the style of the hallucinations right. She did not attack the air, but maybe her name is Gladys. :)
