Monster art

No, not art of monsters, but that made by monsters. How much do you use? Would a book looking at monster art be useful? Is there a company we could convince to publish such a book?

I would say...no. Other than beholders, most of the art in my games is standard: elf art, dwarf art, human art, etc...no details other than saying it is a vase, a statue, a painting.

Well, I don't know. I suppose there might be some interest in such a thing. But I really wouldn't care for sseing this unless it included a good amount fronm the humanoid, monstrous humanoid and dragon races. Maybe. :\

I've used maybe once. Stone Giant was making abstract sculptures from stones in his field. I sort of tricked the PCs. They needed some info from the giant, and he looked at the PCs, saying "Hmm .. I might give the information in exchange for a service .. you look kind of small for it, I don't know if you'll be able" PCs "We're actually pretty tough"

The giant actually just wanted to use them as models for his sculptures

I don't know about a book solely focused on art, but I would probably be interested in a book that provided multiple ideas for monsters' cultures. I think there's a little bit of that in Mongoose's Slayers Guide series. I think it would add depth to encounters.
