Monster Manual 2

I just hope the quality of the pics in the MM2 will be at least as well as in the MM1. That means more pics by Sam Wood, Todd Lockwood, Tony DiTerlizzi, David Martin... Less by Baxa, Kaluta...

Yes. I'm a bit afraid when I see the evolution of pics in WotC products, from the gorgeous FRCS to the ugly (especially in the demihuman section, the worst of all being the dwarves) Faith & Pantheon.

Didn't get a chance to see F&P, (picture wise) Though I did the screensavers for some of the gods. Though Bane was alright.

I know it's supposed to focus on CR 10-20 monsters, does it have any small things (CR1 and under)?

I think a book of lower-level monsters would be infinitely more useful than one filled will uber-critters. Granted, I'd want 95% of the contents to be aquan encounters, of course. ;)

Aquan encounters? 95%? Playing on Water World are we? :D

Vermin?

I hope that the MM2 or the ToH does not forget about vermin. Giant cockraches and mosquitoes are indeed a fun (and deadly) monster to throw at your PCs.

By the way, Scott, can you list the vermin creatures of ToH in the "Big Update-ToH Contents" thread. This book is going to be a bestseller for sure. Congratulations!

I feel we need some more CR10-20 monsters. Bashing Dragons and the Tarrasque can get dull after the 100th time ;).

I would like to see some really bizarre creatures that actually have pronouncable names! No one wants another ixitachitl, yochlol, vargouille or ustilagor*. :)

*= these last three were found after 20 seconds of looking in the Monster Manual 2 from 1983! Jeez did they have a random word generator or something? :D
