Monster Manual 2

Regarding psionic monsters, I spent a lot of time with Scott working up some psionic monsters for the ToH, particularly low level ones.

If you notice, most psionic monsters are relatively high level or CR. Why? Becasue so many psionic monsters are carry overs of old psionic monsters when the system made psionics brutal. But now with the new psionic rules it is really possible to have low level psionics. So we created some monsters for that situation--low level psionic monsters. Plus some good old higher level ones.

Fiend Folio is similiar, and has a return of a few favorites of people on this board, not necessarily Regdars favorites.

Uh.... does that mean what I think it means?

Well there must be some reason Necromancer didn't try to license the Fiend Folio name, and it's probably either a) cost or b) Wizards is planning to use the FF name yet.

I wouldn't buy c) they didn't want the name, or they wouldn't have used the subtitle they did.

...we can probably look forward to Fiend Folio sometime next year?
I hope they make them the cream of fan-submitted monsters like the original FF drew from the "Fiend Factory" column. At this stage, it doesn't sound like it's going to be created that way though.

Others, well to Regdar's eyes they are beyond stupid.
Does anyone else enjoy the extreme irony of someone who talks about himself in the third person saying that? I know I sure do.

I suppose using basic grammar isn't beyond stupid. Is it at least within stupid?

St00pid post.

Anyway, I'd like to see stats for an Aurochs. I hope they don't neglect real-world creatures!

Anyone care to speculate on what will be converted in the MM2? (-based on the ToH contents, of course). I'm actually surprised that some things weren't put in the MM2 (lurker above, for instance) but that's okay, they'll be in a book! A happy book full of open gaming content. Very cool... can't possibly have too many monsters.

Let me throw in one vote for sons of kyuss.
