I think you mean me. Not to be argumentative, really, but all I did was say the book that was once going to be called the Creature Catalog was going to be called the Tome of Horrors now. This was done to ensure there would be no confusion between it and the Creature Collection.

I thought that Succubi were one of the very few that could have snoo snoo with humanoids? I don't think any of the other demons could poly into a human.

Fiends don't necessarily need to poly into a human to be able to mate with one, you know.

No offense intended or taken Colonel. I just wanted to clarify a few things. I personally I'm VERY stoked about ToH. I also thought the reason they changed the title around wasn't because of the CCs (After all, Campaign Cartographer has the same kind of initials/anatgram as Creature Catalog/Creature Collection), but mainly because they wanted some of that old 1st edition feel, and the Tome of Horrors CERTAINLy evokes that more than Creature Catalog (no OFFENSE Scott!!!)

no, but i'd guess that makes it a lot easier (particularly for those unfortunate souls who don't know who they're ing around with.

No offense taken. And you are correct. The main reason we went with that title is because it was the one that fit. It screamed 1e feeling just about more than anything. And we could pay tribute to one of the all-time best (from a DM's POV ) modules that Gygax did.

I wish I could take credit for the name but it was one of the regulars on the Necromancer Boards (Kvantum, IIRC) that came up with it. So- free copies of the book to him for his insight and genius.

Perhaps. Maybe we can do a "monster" contest of sorts at GenCon or something. I dont know.
