Move Equivalent Action.

PS: Could you combine drawing a weapon with that partial charge (assuming your BAB is +1 or higher)?

Not unless you had Quick Draw, because the moving part of a charge is not 'a regular move', it is a charge.

Is Magus Jerel that goober who says Mages can cast 2 spells in a round without haste by the rules because a partial action can be a move action then LOGICALLY a move action can be a partial action?

Yep, it is.

Wonder what he is doing now .. oh well ..

On a different note, why is it feasible at all to:

1) Get up.
2) Move.
3) Attack.

That's 3 actions. It shouldn't be allowed at all,
Good point, perhaps it would be better if the designers had said "You cannot ready a partial charge.". That would clear up some of those "straight line" problems as well. Of course adding an exception complicates matters. Wonder how they do it in Star Wars... :)

Sorry, different way of talking I guess. In my lingo it's just another word for silly person. "Don't be a boob" = "Don't be silly" where I come from.

No problem - it was pretty mild.

In verbal communcations, I'd pretty freely say "what a boob" or even "what an idiot" - but I would not do so in writing anywhere - you never know who your audience is once you've written it down. :)

I generally stand by my opinion regardless of the audience, but I'm also generally very polite (or am I ? hmm).

Yes, you are very uisually very polite. Depending upon who I am talking with, I might seem quite rude to someone listening-in, while the person I am actually talking to might not find me rude at all.

That's why writing is different - no one can see your facial expressions, etc. So, to avoid misunderstanding, and because we live in a civlized society (well, mostly), we write differently than we speak, and try to be "nice" on these boards.

:) Also because we never know when Eric's Grandma might read what we've written! :)

Hmm. I try this instead:

1)

There are 2 types of actions you can make:

Combat Actions. (Tabel 8-1).. Including Full attack and Full-round spell casting. An otherwise short list.

Miscellaneous actions (Tabel 8-4)

Limit on Partial Actions: (From [Start Full-Round Action]) You can only start a Miscellaneous Action (Not a Combat Action) with a partial action. (So never any Full-round Attacks that carries into the next round.)

2)

PHB. p. 127
As a general rule, you can do as much with a partial action as you could with a standard action minus a move.

All partial actions from Tabel 8-3 (Therefor Excluding [miscellaneous partial actions]) can be added a move and then become a standard action. Including Charge.

[Explanation on charge:

Charge is a standard action (Special or not) and therefor all movement is a part of the standard action. All movement in a Charge Standard Action is subject to the "movement during a charge" rule. It is therefor not important if you call it a Move + a Partial Charge (Making it a special standard action) or just a Charge.]

You can therefor also do a miscellaneous move-equivalent action (It is only important that it is a move-equivalent action) + a partial charge as a Standard Action.
