multclassing Rogues and uncanny dodge HELP?

questionmark

First Post
when determining if a rogue can catch flat-footed, flank, or sneak atk another character with U-dodge, do you add your levels in ninja of the crecent moon, or assasin to your rogue levels to find out who you can flank?

I reason that if the class grants an increase in snk atk dmg those class levels stack with your rogue levels when determinig your uncanny dodge level.

or is having a lower uncanny dodge one of the trade offs of multiclassing?

please help

If both classes offer the Uncanny Dodge ability, like rogue and barbarian, then you add together the levels of both classes and look into the more beneficial class (i.e. barbarian in this example) to determine the total ability.

Classes which do not offer the same ability do not count towards this, however, and yes, this is one of the drawbacks of multiclassing.
