NE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Tarterian Dragon vs. Adult Ethereal Dragon

Well, does he have to jump the full 5 feet? Would 2.5 suffice? With a running start, I'd say that's a DC 10 jump check, with a total modifier of +0.

The modifier is -6 for speed 20 +3 for strength = (-3). The arrowhawk is currently at a 23 foot altitude, which means the desiccator needs to jump 4 feet. DC 16 with a -3 modifier is possible, but not likely.

Round 210: The arrowhawk hovers and hits for 9. (Rolled 24) The desiccator has 6 hp left.

Round 211: Another ray hits. (Rolled 23) 7 points of damage destroy the desiccator.

Next up for NE in round 211: a terlen. (FF) The arrowhawk is at 50N110E20Z.

Go, giant flying shark!

A man-sized shark with huge, wing-like pectoral fins shoots into the arena and glides towards the arrowhawk, its toothy maw snapping viciously, hungry for prey.

Does the arrowhawk, by any chance, count as flat-footed? Either way, the terlen's making a flying charge at the arrowhawk. If the bite hits, it'll go for the grapple and worry.

The arrowhawk is not flat-footed. The shark has to enter the arena at 0Z, so it cannot make a charge up to 20Z with average maneuverability.

Curses, you're right. In that case, the terlen will use a run action to move to 100N30E50Z, in preparation for a diving charge on its next turn.

Bah. Okay, then...35 feet up, 30 feet forward, turn ends at 110N30E35Z. Can I do that? Or does all motion, not just vertical, motion count double when flying up?
