If just looking at the Min-Max aspect of your character, Í would say: NOOooo don't do it, 4lvl of cleric won't be as helpfull as you think. Sure you'll get your basic spells and spells like bull strength and so forth can come in handy, but what good does a cure light or a cure moderate at lvl 10? So the healing aspect is of a 4th lvl cleric on a overall lvl 10 character is negligible.

BUT

If looking at the RP aspect of your character, the choice is yours as Nodor Elf said in his first post. If it fits your character why not? A Dwarven Fighter Cleric is a coooool character for that matter

I think everything has been said above.

If you go for it, everybody will be glad since there will be a second healer in the band, although not a great one (you will be able to use wands of curing BTW). If you don't you character will benefit from it, from a "fighting machine" point of view.

Personnally, I wouldn't do it. Every party needs a good warrior. And a "good" warrior is a single class warrior (fighter, barbarian, ranger or paladin) IMO.

With the right spells and combo's, other classes will add to your figthing potential, even if you lose some points of AB (and that's not to much anyway).

Warpriests (Warrior/Priests) can combine combat prowess with the right spells,
Thugs (Warrior/Rogues) can combine pure fighting prowess with finesse.

I know people who swear on those combinations!
