D&D General Need Idea for Magical Terminology.

Long story short;

DnD uses "Sorcery" for innate magic users. I call them adepts.

Sorcery in my world equals diabolism, i.e conjure/enslave fiends.

So I need a new term for "sorcery point", and maybe "Meta magic"*.

This problem arose because I am creating a "Ring of Sorcery" that contains sp, and several metamagics inherent to the ring that can be used by any arcane(?) wearer.

So obviously "Ring of Sorcery" while accurate in 5e terms, is bad for my world, lore, and terms. Any thoughts?

*I also use meta magics as a form of "High Magic" that elves and advanced wizards can learn, but Ring of High Magic doesn't sound quite right, although I may settle.

Spellshaping? Ring of Spellshaping? It's simple and intuitive. You could also just call Sorcery points "Magic Points" or the classic "Magica."

Good points. I may be overthinking it though...typed up a place holder...how do yall think it sounds?

Tokens? As sort of a "called in" favor. So instead of Sorcery Points, it would be Tokens and the ring would be a Ring of Tokens.

What about "Ancient Magic" instead of "High Magic?"

How about "distortion points" as they allow Adepts to distortion spells to suit their needs?

Metamagic doesn't seem like it necessarily needs changing, but perhaps Arcane Adaptation, or just Adaptations?
