Polygon revealed the alternate art for the 2024 Player's Handbook.

"Illustrated by Wylie Beckert, the alt art cover of the Player’s Handbook (2024) features a party comprised of D&D’s four iconic classes — the fighter, the wizard, the cleric, and the rogue — all gathered around a friendly gold dragon, sharing tea. In the Caribbean we have all shades, but we all consider ourselves Caribbean. Best part is you can mix coffee and milk and make something even more delicious.

I like that a lot better than the normal one.

They should use gold on gray instead of black on white as a UPC.

Hopefully, a barcode in gold and gray is practicable.

If not, even nudging the barcode to a slightly different location, might achieve an overall composition, that resolves the visual distraction.

Sorry, meant the cover and not the dragon. He wants the very colorful cover with the people riding one.

I wanted to do the same thing, but it feels like it'll take too long for them to do that. Especially since they decided to do the staggered release of the core set.
