Gomez: I have always wanted to try my hand at an "exploration" campaign. So if you do start one up, please keep me in mind.

I will post something in a week or two. So keep a eye out. And I will keep you in mind for the game.

Edit: Oops! Looks like you already have a GM. Sorry for butting in like that. Good luck to ya! ;)

No worries. Just when you're ready, post a new thread. I'm sure you'll have plenty of interested parties.

We don't officialy have a GM yet anyway, he still needs to be inspired (I'm trying though :) )

Ditto Ferix. I was in a great game a couple months ago. DM ran a nice smooth fast intro adventure. Had fun, had some roleplaying. Starts the second adventure about thirty posts in, then poof - gone. No word, no note, nothing. I think it must be dangerous to be an Eberron DM. Maybe there's things a man's just not meant to know...

I have been thinking about giving the PbP another shot. I would DM and it would in all likelihood be an adventure exploring Xen'drik for either a house or aristocat.

The downside is it will involve alot of combat and dungeon adventureing and my experience with that on PbP was okay at best.

Should I take up this mission, it will be where I compile and post twice a week. Wed and Sun in most likelihood.

Thoughts?

I'll check back tonight after work and if it looks good, I'll work on something this weekend along with what materials I will allow to be used and money. I figure mid level (5-6)

I just want to say that my interest should not preclude other people volunteering to GM a game. Sounds like there are more than enough players to go around!

The reason I'm still hesitating is that I need a really strong hook to get me to GM a game. If I'm just running a prepublished adventure with few mods I tend not to want to put in the time it takes to run a really good game.

What really excites me about gaming, especially in a PbP format, is that you can really delve into the backgrounds and work on character development. Creating a vibrant, living setting that the PCs fit into is more than half the fun for me. Combat tends to take sooooo long that it naturally takes a supporting role in creating the drama, which I think is a nice change from standard D&D.

Having said that, perhaps interested players might be willing to post some character concepts? I like the idea of making a character-driven adventure, rather than forcing random PCs into a pre-existing, generic module.

I'd be willing to incoporate any race of character from the Eberron Campaign Setting, as well as the Races of Eberron books. As for classes, go crazy, anything from any of the WotC books, as long as you can make it work within the setting. As for level, I like the idea of starting at a slightly elevated one. Let's say 6th level for now.

Just to clarify the above: I am interested in running an Eberron game, just not sure yet of the overall concept.

I assure you, both GMs will be able to find players.
