D&D 5E New Fighting Styles That Don’t Overshadow Existing Ones

I think it would be cool to make fighting styles more granular and let you pick up additional features as invocation-style abilities as you level up (and, like invocations, swap features out as you level). You could group the features into "paths" to guide players to selecting certain sets, but not necessarily require it; in other words, make them like Totem Barbarian features. This would let you make more fighting styles viable without introducing additional possibilities for multiclass cheese.

No that's OP. Feet would be okay tho.
A shield with hands could wield another shield with hands, which in turn, could hold a shield with hands...It would become a portable wall of handsy protective gear!
I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I think this idea really has some legs; I just can't put my finger on why.

I've always liked an idea like this for Fighters, especially. Having 3-5 choices or so during all the levels, with Paladins and Rangers maybe getting only 2-3?

Hurler -- when throwing a weapon normal range is extended by 5*STR modifier feet. Long range is 3 times that total number of feet.

Theatrical

Instead of attacking, you can make a theatrical display of using your weapons. Each creature in the area who sees the display must make a wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature becomes charmed for the round. While charmed by this effect, the creature has a speed of 0 and cannot take any reactions.

I'd like a fighting style that actually encourages using versatile weapons.
That's come up before...
Maybe the appeal of Versatile should be fluidity of style, rather than one style tailored to it, something like:

Versatile Style: Choose either Great Weapon Fighting or Defense style: when you use a Versatile weapon two-handed, you gain the benefit of that style so long as you meet any other requirement. Also pick one either Dueling or Protection: when you are wielding a versatile weapon in one hand, you gain the benefit of the chosen style, so long as you meet all other requirements for it.

Each Archfey Warlock who sees the display falls into a spiral of depression and immediately retires from adventuring.
