EN World New GMs, players, read the first post in this thread! (updated 5/21)

I know 3.5 best, though I do really like Pathfinder. So if I ran it, it would be one of those two. I use a 10' pole to keep 4E and 5E at bay.
I am about even between each of them, and I use an eleven foot pole rather then the ten.

You guys are understandably wary of 4E, but your trepidation has no applicability to 5E. 5E is like a throwback to 1E or 2E with skill stuff added and more modern classes and races. Feats are a bit different and are an optional rule in 5E.

NO ONE SHOULD EVER LUMP 4E AND 5E TOGETHER!

No edition war intended, I'm just saying that 5E is nothinbg like 4E and is more of a throwback to earlier editions but with some larer-developed features, but it has a somewhat different mechanic. Somewhat, but not really.

And, anyway, DeWarski, :p p-p-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-t!

I'm not going to spend the money on yet another addition, when I've already got so much invested in 1E, 2E, 3.xE and Pathfinder. 5E could be great, but I'm not even going to bother.

Star Wars - Interlude IV: The Detritus of Destiny [CLOSED]

Looking to start a Star Wars: Edge of the Empire game here on EnWorld. I'm new to the system and am looking for 3-4 PCs, with or without experience in the system, to form the crew of the Second-Hand Sarlacc, a salvage vessel plying the hyperspace lanes looking for fame and fortune. Well, at least the latter.

Game: Star Wars - Interlude IV: The Detritus of Destiny
System: Star Wars: Edge of the Empire
Number of PCs: 3-4
Recruiting Thread: HERE
Submissions Close: February 22nd, 2016

Well as my hybrid idea does not seem to be generating much interest I am thinking about a couple other ideas of games that I would love to try out but no one in my face-to-face table wants to try...

So what about some interest in the following maybe ideas... the first would be a lighter super hero game using Triumphant rules. Set in my world of Centropolis the heroes are a new team introduced to the world in the aftermath of Terminus Incident (which we will play out of course). The rules are pretty light so if you don't have them I think we could get by fine. Characters would start at Power Level of Local Heroes. I have never run the game before but again the rules are pretty straight forward. I am thinking about one houserule in that you can always use your Triumphant die (instead of rolling to see if you can) and that you can choice to roll it after you have made your initial roll (instead of you have to choice to roll it at the same time as when you roll your base skill or power die). I also have the Supers! RED game if more people have access to that system...

The second would be my crazy world of Rifts Vampire Wars using the Radiance rules. This game is set in my world of Ærth, a old west 'Jules Verne' imagined setting of Tesla powered airships (called Electro-technology) and alchemy that experienced an world shattering apocalyptic event in the 1890's that resulted in magic and weird races to change the foundations of the world. Think Palladium's RIFTS game but were the Old World ended in the 1890's, with lots more steam and crazy technology like Warmechs.

Thoughts?

MiPS Lost mine is Recruiting. Again, Again.

MiPS Lost mine is Recruiting. Again, Again. There is a character that can be taken over, a Dragonborn Paladin or you can bring your own. You'd be starting at level 2 and coming in in the second scene of the Lost Mine adventure (the town of Phandelver).
As I've had several people drop, I would prefer someone who can post reasonably regularly and be reliable to try to finish the adventure.

Thanks for looking.
