D&D (2024) New One D&D Weapons Table Shows 'Mastery' Traits

The weapons table from the upcoming Unearthed Arcana playtest for One D&D has made its way onto the internet via Indestructoboy on Twitter, and reveals some new mechanics. The mastery traits include Nick, Slow, Puncture, Flex, Cleave, Topple, Graze, and Push. These traits are accessible by the warrior classes.

Rapier's not on there. I cannot imagine it vanishing completely, although hopefully it will be less dominant.

EDIT: OK, there's the second page. Still no reason for a rogue to use a shortsword over a rapier, which feels like a miss. Give them different properties, please, and make it a choice. (Slashing vs. piercing isn't a meaningful choice, IME.)
Rapier is not light, so can't be used in two-weapon fighting. Short sword can.

It’s even worse! In this table Shortsword and Rapier have the same damage type and the same mastery! That’s dumb! Only thing in its favour is that the Shortsword is 'Light'!

I feel like things would be more interesting if Sneak Attack simply keyed off the ‘Light’ property instead of ranged/finesse. This would let you sneak attack with a light club (aka a sap) and other fun weapons, including improvised ones, instead of just variations on a dagger or crossbow bolt.

Can’t you just main hand a Rapier and offhand a short sword, keeping both?

Or add blackjack to the weapon list as a finessable bludgeon. That'd be more useful for me than the pistol and musket.
