Nigerian scammers - Outlook rules?

I used to work in international banking and I would have a client enquiry at least once a week in respect of these scams.

You would not believe how normally sensible businessmen would ignore my explanations and warnings to continue to pursue these things.

What scares me more is that if there was someone who knew how the banking system really worked and had a proper command of the English language who was also involved the "takes" from the scams would probably increase exponentially.

Hmmm, I think I know what I'll be doing this week.... ;)

There was actually a program on the Tv over here not so long ago in regard to these type of scame e-mails. They followed two of them up and apparently they almost always result in someone wanting you to meet them in Amsterdam, where they want the money off you etc.. and are almost all linked to organised crime.

Best thing to do with them is just add them tot he blocked senders list, or report it to you ISP and have them filter them.

Russ, if you're using Outlook (but not Outlook 2K3), then I suggest heading over to http://spambayes.sourceforge.net/ and picking up the Outlook add-in. It's a learning filter, and learns pretty quickly. And its free.
I've been using this for a few days now. It's working like a dream - a fantastic suggestion, Enkhidu. Thanks! :)
