Nocturne of Sorrow, Orsal J

(OOC: Understood, we aren't in as bad shape as it might seem, but it is difficult. I'm certainly not giving up yet! Lousy rolls are lousy rolls...)

"Valan, turn them!" Quozen calls, delaying before attacking.

(OOC: Delay until Valan turns, then flurry whatever remains.)

Hasin screams loudly as as his essence is ripped from him
NO! No! Father I am sorry! AHHHHGH!!
then slowly grows pale and silent. You know that his rest is not dreamless.

*Valan's melded undead steals a bit more skin from Valan too, not enough to make the Cleric unconscious, but enough to unmeld and spawn a new kite, which it does*

ooc: actually I think it got off of you... Smack the hell out of it!

Valan takes appraisal of the situation. Four undead of intense strength, weakened. Five people conscious. Two dwarves out. I'm thinking we should regroup. There too strong and I'm too weakened to turn properly. To prove his point he'll try anyway. Turn. (1d20+1=9, 2d6=7) Having enough punch but not enough power Valan solemnly draws his sickle and says Someone should probably run.

You know that his rest is not dreamless.

(OOC: Technically, with 0 Charisma, the sense of self is now non-existent like that of an object, so it would be a dreamless coma (as mentioned in 249 ;))

*Dorrin and Quozen both miss, though one of Quozen's attacks is nearly successful and deflects off roiling flesh. Valan fails to turn the undead, perhaps in part because of his weakened ego. Jace, however, manages to burn both of the undead next to Hasin (and also Hasin), destroying one completely, as the burning flesh melts and chars into ash, leaving a disgusting smell, and leaving the other one so close to being destroyed that a particularly strong breeze might knock it over. Gloria fires a crossbow at it, and the pierced flesh combined with all the other injuries proves just enough to cause it to lose its airborne status and tumble the ground, bone cracking as the flesh bubbles and melts into a puddle.*

(OOC: Also Hasin takes 3, but he's remarkably tough, so he's still okay)

*The monsters near the ground decide that between the drained out Valan and Quozen, there isn't anyone delicious, so they move up into the air, one of which provokes an attack from Quozen that misses. Since they can't meld with anyone yet, they each fire a bone quill at Jace's mount, destroying it. Jace falls and takes minor damage.*

(OOC: Jace takes 3 Damage

Dorrin's turn, then Quozen, Valan, Jace, Gloria)
