Nothingland

So, the Nothingland server has been moving glacially slow for me lately, to the point where I've spent several weeks avoiding the place hoping that it will improve. It hasn't, though --everything I try to go back, the browser just sits there until I lose patience. I mean, it'll show up eventually, but the wait time is too long to really make going over there feasible for me. This is going on a home and at work, so presumably it's nothing on my end. Is this just me, or is something going on?

No, that's the one. It was like someone flipped a switch -- one day, everything was snappy, and I was having tons of fun talking about stuff other than gaming, and the next day it was moving like it was covered in cold tar. And it doesn't seem to have improved since then enough to justify trying to spend the time there.

Which I'm sure delights many of it's residents, of course. :)

NTL is pretty quick and zippy the past week or so, for me -- I just started being active there, again.

What happens if you try it today?

I can access it, it's just so slow that I don't bother. That and the fact that if I try to access it in the background while doing something else that pages always end up blank.

I dunno; it's very odd. And it's been going on for a while now. But seeing PWD over here reminded me to ask about it.

I'm willing to bet it's a problem with your ISP's connectivity to the region wherever that server is (I have no clue where that is). Assuming your work and home use different ISP's , then it's something local to your region.
