Obscure cartoons you forgot you liked

Not a TV series, but an animated movie that messed with my young mind: The Mouse and His Child.

Man, I loved that movie. I want it on DVD.

'A dog shall rise, a rat shall fall....'

Some of my favorites:

Well, I loved almost all the superhero series from the 60's on, and they're all mentioned on the Yesterdayland site.

I especially loved the original Pink Panther series. No dialog at all.

Rocky and Bullwinkle. The puns, my God.

Mighty Orbots. My first look at an anime-like series.

Land of the Lost. 'nuff said.

Hong Kong Phooey. Scatman Crothers. Mmm.

The only other live-action show I liked: The Lost Saucer, since I loved Ruth Buzie from Laff-in. There was a great episode where they got to see the creators of the robot characters, and her creator was the character she did on Laff-In.

Exo-Squad! That series rocked! :D

... Then they're sucked into this strange dimension, and they're all in cartoon mode. ...I think they traveled around (or had access to) an RV or something. I think there was one chick in some kind of 80's work-out getup (leotard, tights, headband, and leggings) and another nerdy guy with glasses and a bad Hawaiian shirt, maybe with a guitar? Am I ringing any bells for anyone at all?

I think that has to be Kidd Video

Kidd Video - eek!

I was watching a rerun of G-Force recently and realised just how god awful it really is! When I was a lad I use to rush to watch this thing - now I have no idea why!

Galaxy Rangers I liked - and Niko is one of the original animated babes:D

any see the Double Dragon series? eeerm

Felix the Cat

and Danger Mouse has to be one of the best 5 Cartoons of all time (followed closely by Gargoyles)...

And then, there was this one cartoon show... if anyone could help me identify it, I'd be greatful. The "theme song" if you will, showed several people, live action mind you, arriving at a friends house and messing around and stuff. Then they're sucked into this strange dimension, and they're all in cartoon mode. I think they're in some kind of dream dimension, because I remember the show was severely screwed up.

Not that I would know, but that sounds like a bad acid trip. Either that or you were just watching The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension week after week after week. :D

Anyone remember Samurai Pizza Cats?
Yes, even after the electroshock therapy :D
Two cartoons I used to love but haven't seen in ages are Danger Mouse and Tennesee Tuxedo. Haven't seen any Underdog in a good long time either.

Demiurge out.

.....There's no need to fear Underdog is here....

Underdog was cheesy fun ....remember the Hair Bears cartoon?
So amny cool old shows....
I remember Thundar the barbarian, The planet of the apes live action and a host of other old tv shows.
Man I miss the good old Saturday Morning Cartoons.

I remember during my junior year in HS comng home to see Robotech for the first time. WOW that was such a cool show at the time the animation was very different at least to me at the time. G-force, speed racer and a few other catoons were cool too. Ahhhhhh the memories....

I have to admit, my favourite as a kid was Voltron.

5 lion or car/plane one?

I liked the 5 lion one better because it was easier to focus / develop fewer characters. :)
(plus, in general, I felt like it was more properly put together).

:)

The lions. I never saw the car one. I actually collected all of the Voltron toys when I was a kid, and have all of the lions (they all fit together to form Voltron), and all the action figures somewhere in the closet. Have about a dozen large robotech figures too.
