One of the group is buying the Book of Nine Swords. What should I expect?

Well, it's your god-given right to be indignant, but it's other people's right to express the opinion that it's irrational to consider the warblade balanced.

It's also insulting, which was entirely my point. Calling someone irrational because they consider the warblade balanced is rude and wrong and likely agaisnt the rules here.

I haven't at all said what I have thought about the people who think the martial classes are overpowered -- because it would be a violation of the rules. But I could very easily express that as my opinion if it isn't a violation of the rules.

But, of course, the fighter has the customization and flexibility advatage.... ;)

Thats a cute little dig and very unbecoming of you as well. Pulled out of context as well.

I am sure you know where you can stick that comment.

I wasn't making digs at you, but if you and the others are gonna get mean and be insulting and nasty, I will as well.

What would I have to bribe you with to get you to take the moral high road?

LOL its a nice thought...but I don't do moral high roads.

But I did report this thread to the mods.

Because you can bet when they respond back to my posts or to me ever again with anything else other then, "I'm sorry for being insulting and/or disrespectful to you." I'm gonna give them back exactly what they gave me.

Insults and disrespect. At every single opportunity.

Large posts counts do not give you any right to be the way they are being when I didn't start it first.

pawsplay, if i take that moral high road will you pay me insted... drat vop... wouldent you know it. oh well...

vop works even if your just poor right?

Look, you can call a viewpoint or arguement into question--even to the extent of describing it as ridiculous. Attacking the individual is out of bounds, but that hasn't happened here. While I don't think your position on ToB holds water, I've nothing against you personally, and I don't think the other guys do either.

Nifft, how did you get a higher post count than me???

Expect this fighter-type character, a.k.a martial character, to behave like a sorcerer or wizard, or more accurately, a warlock. Expect a balance of abilities, but a different type of martial resource management closer to how magic works.

Actually, it fits in context really well. The WB advantage in flexibility provided by this perk is HUGE.
It wouldn't be unreasonable to argue that this alone off-sets the enitre fighter customization advantage through static feat builds. Particularly if you take into account the fairly wide freedom the WB alsoready has to customize through manuever selection, and to a lesser extent their own feats.

I am sure you know where you can stick that comment.
Right next to your analytical support for your position????

I wasn't making digs at you, but if you and the others are gonna get mean and be insulting and nasty, I will as well.
I'm attacking your position.
If you are going to take me pointing out flaws in your arguement as being insulting and nasty then you need to build a stronger case or get out of the kitchen. I've said nothing personal toward you.
But if you are suggesting that I should ignore flaws in your argument becuase you will take pointing them out as a personal insult then I'd suggest that you are looking at it the wrong way and setting yourself up to feel attacked.

Moderator's Notes

That is not an acceptable approach. I'm going to give you three days off from the forum to reconsider your approach. If you report a post and the moderators do not respond in the thread, it is possible that we have acted outside of the forums to respond to it; it is also possible that we do not see a rules violation where you see one.

I am responding publicly here because that's generally what we do when someone announces an intention to violate forum rules; it forestalls a thread hijack. The rest of y'all, I'd appreciate it if you let this thing drop at this point.

Thanks!
Daniel
