Soooo for those of us without the FRCS book handy, hypothetically what would a human ranger from the Dalelands have for his regional bonus?
Ok, here are your choices:
Blooded:
You know what it means to fight for your life, and the value of quick wits and quicker reactions when the blades are bared and deadly spells chanted. Enemies find it difficult to catch you off guard.
Benefits: You get a +2 on initiative and a +2 on all Spot checks.
Forester:
Faerun's great forests stretch for hundreds of miles across the northlands. You are knowledgeable about the secrets of the forest and wise in it's ways.
Benefits: You recieve a +2 bonus on all Heal checks and a +2 bonus on all Wilderness Lore checks.
Luck of Heroes:
Your land is known for producing heroes. Through pluck, determination, and resilience, your people survive when no one expects them to come through.
Benefits: You recieve a +1 luck bonus on all saving throws.
Militia:
You served in a local militia, training with weapons suitable for use on a battlefield.
Benefits: You get Martial Weapon Proficiency (longbow) and Martial Weapon Proficiency (longspear).
Strong Soul:
The souls of your people are hard to seperate from their bodies.
Benefits: You get a +1 bonus on all Fortitude and Will saves and an additional +1 bonus on saving throws against energy draining and death effects.
And as for bonus equipment, choose one of the following:
(A) Mighty Composite Longbow (+2 Strength bonus).
(B) Mighty Composite Shortbow (+2 Strength bonus).
(C) Longbow*, shortspear*, or quarterstaff* (* = Masterwork).
(D) Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds.
