Updated character post to RG. Still a few Gaps, see below for details.

@Neurotic I really liked the Vinettes. However, I think the the Duke in the A Noble's Exile should be a Baron. There is no Duke currently.

@TaranTheWanderer Looks like you are the Tank for the moment. I still have not decided if Eos will select TWF or Archery as a Combat style at L2.

PS: My ideas are usually different. Hence my general inability to understand the world generally.

GAPS:
:: Favoured Enemy: Who, or what, is the most likely threat to life in the wilderness? Wild animals? Goblins? Bandits? Undead? Dragons? Eos's Favoured Enemy selection will reflect.
:: Staring Gold/Package: What is the starting gold/package for a Ranger? Cannot find it in the SRD.
:: PC bonds/threads/etc: I like the idea that the PC's grew up in close proximity and know each other. I am, however, tempted by the idea that they don't like each other. Why is that? Is their dislike/mistrust based on real, or perceived differences? Will events change their relationship?
:: Back Story 01: The back story for Eos is based on the assumption that there are no full blood elves in Grey Camp and, more generally, elves are rare in the Kingdom, and viewed with suspicion. Let me know if this is not the case and I will adjust as required.
:: Back Storey 02: Still not sure whether raised by family (elves) or other (foster human/dwarf/orc/undead/troll family or orphanage. I think I will leave this space ambiguous, and hence open for discovery through play.

With all that said I have enough background Impressions to begin the campaign and will open up an ICC within 24 hrs of now (Could be sooner)
Yeah!

@Neurotic of household Montfort, lesser known family in the Stormbearer Barony. The house remains faithful to the old ways, that a warrior serves his leader and doesn't conspire against him, due to this the head of the house has little fame or money for they seek loyalty. The household after generations has not stirred or made waves that would sully their name. While gambling away and living life in debauchery has been interesting you have picked up the skills of a jeweler along the way, be it to stretch winnings a bit further or not get fooled on a deal, you gain two ranks in appraisal and two ranks in spot. These are always considered class skills for you.

A character connection of growing up as kids would be more difficult considering all of the age differences, status differences, and need not be reason for anything as I have written the adventure with no need for ties of any kind.

@TaranTheWanderer Baron Greyshroud is a new Baron, his Barony was recently given to him for his battle efforts. Grey Camp is also a young town, Greyshroud comes a family of Inn keepers and he sought something more and made a name for himself. The Baron's brother, your character's father, wanted to capitalize and open the first Inn in the town that the Baron would make.

I was under the impression that you were playing a human, if you want a link to an older noble family we could do that. I just need to make sure what is in the rogue's Gallery is what you are playing, as for name I will call upon your reference as Taran for now.

What is in the rogues gallery is what I’m playing. Is there a problem with the sheet? It’s a Google doc so it auto-updates on EN world when I update the doc. But it’s a copy of a previous character so I may not have edited out all the old info. My character is human

I’ll have a name today.

I don’t need to have a connection to old family money. I just wanted a connection to the barony. I’d just assumed he was already a noble.

Yeah!
I’m not too partial to mistrust in a party. Do we need to like each other? No but I don’t think keeping pertinent information from each other is productive.

This just creates a situation of players RP tension and/or working at different 'targets' in social intrigue. But for survival in combat we're all in. As long as we agree up front that we will not actively work against party goals and that negative comments or disparaging remarks (i.e. that flimsy elf or that spoiled noble brat) are jn character and not personal (and should remain such)

@OneCrappy DM would you be willing to try bloodlines

Recently, a friend joined a game with one and it seems fun addition without power bloat.

I'd be partial to major fey bloodline, but I'm game even with random rolls...maybe for each of us or for each family or something...

Ok.

Name: Byron Gottfried Greyshroud II.

Relationships:
Nephew to Baron Greyshroud

Father: Gottfried Greyshroud (Influential merchant with shrewd (and shady)business practices. An up-and-comer. Arranging His marriage to a minor noble was a strategic win for him. The inn is another way to expand trade, influence and gather intelligence.) Started by inheriting their father's Inn but maybe also owns a transport/trade business and might have a cargo vessel and some wagons. It may even make more sense if he was the OLDER of the two brothers. Gottfried would be a bit jealous of his younger brother's new title and success.

Mother: Rosemary Dorchen(?Montford?) Greyshroud (minor noble. 3rd daughter of small and not-so-notable noble house). Got the short end of the stick, married off to some "small time" merchant who treats her more as an 'investment' and employee than a wife. @Neurotic Maybe this is where we can have a connection. Want to be related? I'd just use your character's family backstory and throw an extra daughter/aunt or whatever in there.

@Neurotic @doghead

I just saw that the IC post is up:

@OneCrappy DM could you change the 'father' part of the OP to 'Grandfather' or 'Mother'? If you are ok with the backstory I proposed, I would say that my father is still living in a more 'civilized' city, sending his wife or father to take care of the start-up. I can have a more detailed backstory written up in RG thread today.
