Pathfinder 2E [OOC] JM's "Doomsday Dawn" Pathfinder 2 Playtest Adventure. (Closed)

If I am still going to play the Wizard(?) then I guess I could switch Athletics to Stealth. Where does it say that though? I try to search parts of that phrase in the rulebook and it does not come up.

Kinda sucks because that feat seems almost completely useless to me anyway.

Tglassy, your skills and saves all reflect your training bonus but not your ability modifiers. Stealth would be +4, for example.
And it needs more at the bottom, of course. :)

Basically, the "tried and true and not printed in the playtest explicitly" rule where if you no longer possess the prerequisites for a feat, you can't use the feat. The Background chapter should either say what I posted above or "you don't need to qualify for feats granted by your background." I've been thinking about this for several days. And the abuse not needing to qualify could cause it too great. So I'm going with rule that you need to qualify by the time char gen is finished. (Without that caveat, you can't even receive the feat since backgrounds are picked before class skills.)

If you save the wizard for the 3rd adventure, it would use a background from the playtest book. Are you thinking of playing the cleric for chapter 1?

Yes, the cleric makes for a "balanced" party to get started immediately. I am not sure the concept for the dwarf even gets a lot of support from the playtest spell list, honestly.

I know I posted no background for Vorgrym but I had this sort of idea in mind as soon as I saw the Osirionologist background:

After a long journey they had at last reached the edge of the vast desert. The hardest part of the journey was now upon them. The dwarf dismounted his pony and stepped into the sand. Reaching down he picked up a handful of the stuff, peering intently at it as grains fell from either side of his palm. "My people feel a deep connection to rock and stone; the deep places underneath. All of this," he says, gesturing to the vast dunes with his other hand, "All of this is just loose bits of earth, gravel, and crystal. Most dwarves do not see the beauty here that we do in our own homes. They do not hear this earth calling to us, and the secrets it promises us hidden beneath its sprawling sea. But I do." He turns his hand to the side and the rest of the sand slips away. "I am a miner at heart, just like all of my kin. But I do not chip away at cavern walls seeking veins of silver, gold, and precious gems. I am here to move the earth to capture the bits of history trapped underneath." With a dastardly smile he adds, "And the silver, gold, and precious gems within."

Urik looks good, go ahead.

we have, in various states of completeness:
Kaodi: Male Half-Orc "Esoteric Scion" Cleric 1 (for a later game: male dwarf "budding osirionologist" wizard 1)
Chairwoman Gene: human "family friend" fighter 1
GreenKarl: human alchemist 1
tglassy: male elf "Budding Osirenologist" bard 1
Radaceus: goblin sorceror 1
FitzTheRuke: "pathfinder hopeful" rogue 1
VLAD the Destroyer: halfling druid or ranger
ccs: unknown

I'd like to start party #1 with the cleric, fighter, rogue, sorcerer, and either alchemist or bard. So hopefully, Monday or Tuesday we will those sheet ready and we can start? I want to open the IC thread by Tuesday. The other reason to wait is in case there's zero interest after gencon, in which case the first four will be party #1.
