Absolutely yes, you can.

As long as the ally is acting as an ally (e.g. if they were mentally controlled by a monster, then you could not).

Correct.

With one exception – that one zombie at the base of the stairs is visible. However it does have 3/4 cover from the illusion...that is IF you treat the illusion as real...if you say "screw it I'm shooting through the wall" then it wouldn't have any cover. That determination is a roleplaying call for you to make about your character.

Sacred Flame only requires Zeth to be able to see a target within range so cover doesn't matter.

Absolutely yes. And I want to mention to @VLAD the Destroyer also...

I am not a stickler about enforcing action economy. If you want to speak, go for it at anytime. If you want to swap out weapons mid-fight, don't worry about technical sequence of "but I already used my one free object interaction to stow it." I'd much rather trust you fine folks to be able to stretch those rules for creative ideas and to keep it within the bounds of reason.

Edit: Caveat, but this isn't the Daggerheart RPG with one player taking six actions in one turn.

I can’t remember, did we rest before entering the temple? Just trying to figure what spell slots Aric has left.

Also, fyi, Aric doesn’t have any healing spells prepared! And he doesn’t have a healing potion…
