I'd like to know if this is to strong for a non-epic game, thanx in advance

Damage: See desciption
Desciption: A staff that is red, bout 5' and has a small curve to the top of it. The staff it self can be used as a weapon for 1d6 points of damage, or it can create a 5'x5'x5' block of energy. The wielder of the staff can move the block telekenitically, using the block in any way the wielder sees fit, either as a s stepping stone or w.e. at the dispence of the wielder it can detonate the block at will for 1d6 points of damage, with a blast radius of 5 feet, (wielder can be hurt as well), if using the block for a crushing purpose, it does 1d6 points of damage for every round it is crushing (unless there r rules on that, to lazy to look em up) the block can be "melted" down into a 10'x10' platform to cross, but it can't be reverted back, the wielder can summon the block 3 times a day, has a fly speed of 50 feet a round

How long does the block last? Do you have to hit a target to crush them with it? Does the target get a save? Can a target being crushed push the block away with a certain strength check? Is there a range limit to the movement of the block? How much weight can it hold?

It does not seem that powerful - nowhere near epic - unless it is essentially a crushing/pinning object that opponents cannot resist, it never dissipates, can lift any amount of weight or it has unlimited range. It certainly doesn't do much damage unless you crush someone with it for a long time and its nice that it can be used as a 5' stepping stone or a 10x10 platform to bridge a gap, but there are many low-level solutions to things like that. In the end it seems like a version of Tenser's floating disk that can blow up or be set down on your foot and hurt you a little. Am I missing something?

the block lasts for a period of 2 hours at a time, yes u do have to hit a targe to crush them with the block, heck y not? Reflex for half, each round of being crushed is a new reflex save, as for it being pushed by the targeted creature, no, that is not possible, 100' range limit or it disapates on its own, it can hold 1000 lbs. sorry i wasn't really thinkin of this stuff, as a platform i was thinkin the wielder could use it sort of like a flying carpet
