(6) The Canucks' present incarnation is a team to be proud of. I'm not so sure the Wings are.

Hey, Detroit's the best team money can buy (the Rangers are the worst :D).

I'm actually looking forward to the long, season-destroying holdout that's coming in 04-05. No more hockey after that point without revenue sharing, or the NHL's going all to hell (read: baseball).

Looks like another first round kicking by a team the Flyers could have/would have/should have, beaten...IF they actually had the heart of any of the other teams in the playoffs.

The people of Detroit are a bit different than most american cities namely we LOVE hockey. The arena is sold out everynight in american dollars. The owner then returns that money to the team.Actually the only star players that were bought were Hull and Robitaille. The others were either were either Drafted or traded for.

Steve Yzerman is one of the greatest player to ever grace the ice this city loves him more than any other sports star and with good reason.I believe that when he finishes playing he will be second only to Gretzy in total points and he will have done it quietly without the fanfare of Gretzy,Lemiex or even Jagr.Heck the national fans haven't even always voted him onto the allstar team.He leads by example he has been Captain of the red wings longer than San Jose has existed.

GO WINGS!!

Yzerman injured his leg playing for a certain gold medal for his native Canada. As to his playing the leg I can't say for sure this year but last year he played with a broken foot as did shanahan. And I've watched him for 19 year and he has never played up an injury he plays with grit and determination.

i seriously doubt he is playing up that injury. the man has been playing for about 20 years. He's OLD! old people get injured...

oh yeah, wings rule joo

I am embarassed to be a Flyers fan.

Quick I hope the offense comes back...but it's another factor again of the mismanagement by Booby Clarke. (purposely mis-spelled)

Worst part of it is Snider is so enamored with him because of what happened 25 years ago he won't replace him and Bill Barber will end up taking the fall.

The worst thing that can be said of them and it?s been true for years!

Poor Ron Francis. He's fifth all time in points (maybe higher depending on how long he plays) and still doesn?t get noticed. Guess that?s what happens when you play half of your career in Hartford and Carolina and the other half with Lemieux and Jagr.
