[OT] Hockey Fever: The NHL Playoffs Thread

Canucks all the way. They are a true fan's dream. Classy, hard-working, rising young stars who truly care about each other.

Don't care about the rest, but Montreal would be nice.

No matter what I don't want to see winners of Detroit, Colorado, New Jersey and especially the stinking, rotten Leafs who should be tossed out of the NHL.

I hate Colorado.... they steal one of our team, here, in Québec. But I hope to see a Stanley Cup Final: "Montréal vs Avalanche", just to beat them.... like we beat the Nordiques all the time in those good old days....

And Theodore vs Roy.... hum.... what a duel it's should be !!

Montreal...wait, they got a bunch of our good players last Fall, nevermind.

Flyers...while I'm glad Oates is gone, he was an ass for staying as long as he did and being peeved about being here.

Carolina...it's a freak year, they don't deserve to be the SE division champs. I hope NJ cripples the entire team during the first game

I'd like to see the Bruins win the Cup, but I'm also cheering for the Hawks...they've had a great year and deserve a chance to go all the way.

It'll come as no surprise to anyone who has seen me post on a Hockey thread before, but I am predciting that his is the Vancouver Canucks year (well, ok...I'm predicting they will make it to the second round, but I honestly don't think making it to the finals is out of the question).

Ever since we re-acquired Trevor Linden (at Christmas appropriately enough) our team has blssomed.

Todd Bertuzzi,Markus Naslund and Brendan Morrison have become the highest scoring, highest +/- line in hockey.

Linden himself, (acquired for his leadership and face-off ability) is hovering somewhere around 70% on faceoffs.

Dan Cloutier has recently set the Canucks record for all-time shutouts.

etc....

Add to that the Canucks entered the playoffs healthy and on a roll, and the Wings are banged up old men who are slumping and I say ...

GO CANUCKS GO!

Is there anything better than surfing DnD boards while watching playoff hockey? Maybe if there were a woman involved, that would be better

Vancouver Vs. Wings, 1-1 right now.

I can't believe the Nucks made it into the playoffs, they were pitiful the first half.

Playoff Hockey is about the only sport that I actively watch, every game that I can, and follow it.

Everything else is just... boring in comparison. Playoff Hockey has it all.

Well, since I live in Colorado, let me just say Go Avs.

Man I love hockey, but playoff hockey is even better!
