(ot) OSU-michigan week

Clarrett can't win the heisman because he's too young. You can't give the Heisman to a freshman or you'll fill all kinds of minds with the hype that one year in college football and you can become an NFL #1 draft pick.

NEVER will they do that.

As for the game...you guys keep hoping it'll stay close...maybe that'll be the score in the first half...till the run game starts decimating OSU defensive linemen.

:)

Not to mention you can't give the Heisman to a freshman that has missed more than several games with an "odd" injury.

I agree that a freshman Heisman winner is unlikely but I don't think it will cause any hype issues. History tells us that Heisman doesn't automatically equal high draft pick. Then again, I guess Wuerffel is playing this weekend which is more than we can say for Crouch or Weinke.

Clarrett didn't play enough to win the Heisman, or even be invited to the finals. With more and more upper classing leaving for the NFL I think we will see more lower classmen in the running, so one day we will see one win. What we will not see is another two time winner. Archie's feat will never be reproduced. Anyone good enough win will then go into the NFL for the money. The two don't always go hand and hand, but I don't see many people not making the attempt.

Sorry dude, but I'm going to have to say Pitt and Penn State, gotta go with the home boys. Now as for a division II or III go Gannon, yea!

Miami ain't all they are supposed to be. Seems to me that Miami is just the fan favorite. Screw em, I say!

Michigan 14, OSU 13

Hmmm... just my luck... my second post on these boards and I've
walked into a den of Buckeyes...

GO BLUE!!!!

[ Paints big Maize and Blue target on chest ...]

... just to give you all something to aim at...

You are a Gamer, you can be redeemed. Welcome to the boards. :D

Thanks for the welcome Crothian,

Let's just hope the score doesn't reflect the comparative number
of posts between us. :o

Actually I am finding it harder to not like OSU because I really
like Tressel. Professional, classy, focused... a real throwback.

I knew we were in trouble the day you guys hired him...

BRING BACK COOPER!!!

I'm pulling for the Buckeyes, but only because I hates me some Michigan. It all stems from a certain Charles Woodson robbing Peyton Manning of the Heisman trophy.

It was quite gratifying when the Vols slobberknocked the Wolverines in last year's bowl game. Too bad we suck this year, but anyways, go OSU!

I think "slobberknocked" might be too kind a term...

What would be the word for the guy who gives a prisoner a
ring of regeneration just so he can torture him longer...?

Yeah... it was kinda like that.

Sorry about Peyton, but Charlie did have a pretty good year.

Charlie beat OSU that year. He was the difference in that game and was able to use that to win the Heisman. I was so glad when he went Pro.

Tressel is a great coach. A friend of mine played under him for a time at Youngston State.
