interesting how you just forgot to mention maurice clarrett

He's been to injuried to include in this. He did great when he was healthy, but he just missed to many games to include. Granted if he runbs for 300yards agains Michigian that could change ;)

We (OSU fans) are having our pastor (UM fan) iver for the big game. MY wife keeps telling me I have to watch my language as it tends to go south when watching football. :D Can't wait for the game...hope it's a good one!

Go BUCKEYES!!

It's not always the QB from the #1 team. Wienke won it in 2000 over Huepel. Wienke was from the #2 FSU and Huepel from the #1 Sooners. Sometimes they just feel sorry for the 30 year old QB you flops in the NFL. We proved who was better that year anyway.

I didn't say it was always the QB from the #1 team. Just that that was a common result when there wasn't a clear favorite. Besides, although he wasn't the best college QB that year (Drew Brees was, IIRC), Wienke had much better passing numbers than Huepel did. And Wienke was (and is) a better QB than Huepel; it's just that the 2000 Sooners were a better team than the 2000 Seminoles.

Was Brees even finalist that year? I don't recall him being there. Well, with a bunch of football still to be played it will be interesting to see how it all turns out.

A quick check on Google shows that the finalists were Brees, LaDamien Tomlison, Wienke, and Heupel. I thought Michael Vick was as well, but I guess not.

WEll, we are less then a Day from the Game. Maimi of course won last night, but it was closser then I thought it would be.

Time to post your predictions. The winner gets to say you won. :D

OSU 17
Michigian 10

Clarrett can't win the heisman because he's too young. You can't give the Heisman to a freshman or you'll fill all kinds of minds with the hype that one year in college football and you can become an NFL #1 draft pick.

NEVER will they do that.

As for the game...you guys keep hoping it'll stay close...maybe that'll be the score in the first half...till the run game starts decimating OSU defensive linemen.

:)
