Sad news - Richard Harris, the actor playing Professor Dumbledore died.

Richard Harris, the actor who played Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies, died in London just a few hours ago. The guy was nice, and I think it will be saddening to many fans of the films. I hope the movies can go on without him, though it won't be happy.

Richard Harris was a great actor who has been around for a long time. His recent appearence in the Harry Potter films will make his memory last longer with a large following across all generations.

Very sad, indeed. He was one of the most colorful actors around, and could tell stories that would leave you rolling on the floor. Some of the exploits he and Peter O'Toole got in to are legendary.

I think Richard Harris's best role was English Bob in Unforgiven.

He was also my choice to play Lord Walder Frey should they ever make a A Song of Ice and Fire movie.
