-between your bed and the wall
-underneath your bed
- underneath the sink in the bathroom
-car
-wedged in the sofa
-underneath the newspapers in the kitchen
-underneath the mail in the living room
-underneath your laundry


THis is where I always look. Of course I bought three so I could always find atleast one. Pretty sad huh?

-- If you live with anyone (spose, significant other, roommate, parents) they moved it while cleaning. Ask them where it is, although they'll claim they have no idea what you're talking about, and insist they never touch your books .
-- If you live alone, then you left it in the fridge after coming home drunk out of your mind and REALLY NEEDING to check on some spell components for the next session.
-- It slid under the seat of your car.
-- Chatdemon has it, and I suggest paying the $2 ransom.
