Mordin will follow along, torch in one hand and large cleaver in the other.

The large spire of rock appears to be just that, almost like a stalactite, this large worked stone spire reaches up into the dark recesses of the roof of the cavern. Behind it you find a lot of rubble.

 

[Velmont]

Kharas takes a moment to inspect that spire, and try to find how it has been created and why it is there.

 

[Erekose13]

Kharas thinks it was probably more of a single straight column at one time. It looks like it still supports the ceiling, though it has warn away over time and is now much skinnier towards the middle.

"Do y'think somethin's up there?" Mordin whispers softer to his dwarven kin as he notices Kharas' study of the column.

"I would not even dare climb that. I am not into maconnery, but that was a straight and simple column at some time. It seems time have work on it. I wonder if there is many column like that? I don't knwo how much weight lay on that column, but the day it will failed, I would like not to be on the tower above here, it might be dangerous." replies Kharas. "Let's continue exploring. I doubt we will find anthing up there. I guess we need to go east now." he adds, seeing the nothen and western wall blocking the way, and seeing the temple they had just visited to the south.

As you move north east you pass the field of rubble and a large building comes into view within your circle of light. It appears largely intact and there is even a huge pair of double doors made of a dark metal in the same design as the cover of Bonal's journal.

"Looks like we found the place. Let's put the symbol on the journal up to the symbol on the door and get inside?"
