Part 1: The Forgotten Forge (Knight Otu judging) [Concluded]

(OOC: That's awesome--but it's likely to trigger traps or guardians compared to using an alternate entrance :p

It's always cool when people have the exact unusual item they need at random. Reminds me of the PC who had Masterwork Manacles and got drugged and captured by a serial killer. When she came to, she could have made an Escape Artist check to escape and succeeded on a 20, except that he had bound her with her own MW Manacles, which raised the DC just barely too high  )

OOC: Which is why Weapon is also waiting on Kharas' detect traps check. :) Not that Weapon really cares what he bashes down.

OOC: That's pretty funny, though one might reason that she might also have the keys to said manacles nearby. :)

(OOC: She did have keys, and he took them ;) The best part is that all eight of the other PCs (this was the first and only time I played with 9 people) laughed and said that there would never possibly be a use for those MW Manacles and that scrolls would have been a better choice (she had Scribe Scroll) )

[SBLOCK=OOC]Oops, miss the post on that page.[/SBLOCK]

"I am not sure we can ram that, that metal seems solid. I think the walls would be easier to take down, seeing how weak they are. Just look at the column we have seen over there... maybe there is a hole in a wall or in teh roof. Even teh temple is in small pieces, why not that building. If it was dwarves who had made these buildings, they would still be standing." tells Kharas, as he inspect the door for traps and maybe a way to open it.

Mordin grunts his agreement and joins his fellow dwarf in searching the door for any traps that may still exist.

[sblock=OOC]Aiding Kkaras on his Search check.[/sblock]

Kharas and Mordin work at the door, and while it has no traps it is quite expertly locked. Kharas also determines that the door is made of Adamantine so Weapon's battering ram would be better used any where else.

Weapon and Stulgar take a peak around the corners. At the north east corner there is quite a large pile of rubble, but no evidence of an opening in any of the walls. The walls are pretty sturdy to have survived so long.

(OOC: The ceiling's intact too? No loose rocks falling and punching a hole or somesuch? Okay, we'll need to ram in then I guess.

What a waste to make an adamantine door like that on a nonadamantine building. We should SO break down the walls around the door and then cart the door off to sell it. Adamantine is 500 gold per pound, right? :])

"As an old dwarves told me, the first thing to fall on your head, it is the roof... let's see if that true." On that, Kharas start to climb, using the rubble to help him.

"Is there a hole in the roof? Does anyone have rope? We can lower somebody in with the journal who can best deal with any traps, perhaps Kharas, and then tug him up if bad things start happening."
