Part 1: The Forgotten Forge (Knight Otu judging) [Concluded]

Beneath the first oil rag is a well preserved heavy mace. It will take some time to unwrap all of them (at least a few minutes). Provided that you do you find:

• heavy mace
• scale mail
• very nice* small chain shirt
• 3 small steel shields
• longsword
• very nice* rapier
• very nice* heavy mace
• 2 sunrods

* Kharas' artificer knowledge is enough to tell that these items are of masterwork quality.

 

[Velmont]

Seeing the Iron defender have done nothing yet, Kharas looks at them, then at the items. "I wonder if..." He sheats his morningstar and slowly move his hand toward the masterwork heavy mace. If the iron defender doesn't seem more aggressive, he will try to pick it up. If all his ok, he keep the heavy mace and continue his search around the forge.

Provided the book is still in his other hand, Kharas is able to swap his morningstar for the very nice looking heavy mace. He reattaches it to his harness and continues to search. Upon searching the furnace, Kharas discovers an interesting set of three evenly spaced depressions around the basin of the furnace. The first is a trianglar shape, the second a square and the third a pentagon.

Nothing in the two areas searched extensively so far looks at all like it would fit in the holes.

(OOC: What has he not searched yet--the debris and the door? He can check the debris for items and then the door for instructions or clues or something)

A thorough search of both the door yeilds no clues. The debris will take time and strength to move. Search without straining yeilds no clues.

OOC: Hey! Can I play my character

"What is that? A game for children?" He quickly looks around, but he sees nothing. Under the rubbles? He thinks for a moment, and he open the book, to see if new insciption would tell more about the possible key... if it is a key.
