Part 1: The Forgotten Forge (Knight Otu judging) [Concluded]

Ahki makes his way up onto the roof muttering about the delay. Too much fuss over some hunks of metal. After securing his rope he looks to the others to see if they are ready before rappelling down to the floor.

Weapon double checks his weapons, draws his flail, then prepares to jump down directly. It is only a 10 ft drop, and he had made several of those into enemy territory during skirmishes along the Brelish front. He'd then be ready for action directly.

[sblock=OOC]Since we aren't being attacked yet, taking 10 on a Jump check would let him drop down for no damage.[/sblock]

(OOC: Bah, what a waste--we should have been able to kite them if we were more careful. I have a feeling all this hastiness and indecision between the beetles and the dogs is going to get us killed before this is over :()

What's to worry about? They're only unstoppable metal canines with teeth as sharp as razors and unlimited strength... and there's only two of them! :D
[/SBLOCK]

(OOC: I'm more worried about whoever received that darn flying ball that we failed to stop all the way at the beginning. They could be amassing an army to attack us if we waste everything on this encounter :()

It takes a moment to secure the two ropes (three end up not being necessary when Weapon insists on jumping). Once secure Ahki, Weapon, and Kharas descend.

[Round 1]
It is not hard for them to find the dog's behind the rubble. Moving to engage, Weapon steps in and slams his heavy flail into the first creature. Sparks fly as metal connects with metal.

Kharas follows in but is unable to hit.

Concentrating on the same one that Weapon hit, Akhi attacks and crushes it with his great club.

The remaining dog scores a hit on Akhi.

Unable to see beyond their friends, Stulgar, Siobhan, and Mordin wait above to respond if needed.

[sblock=ooc]Damage Recap:
Akhi 10/15 remaining.[/sblock]

His flail in hand, Weapon moves purposefully to the next construct. The shifter might think there was a kinship there, but there was not. They may have been made, not born, but Weapon has a purpose beyond mere programming. What that was... well, he did not know. But such philosophy was not for battle. Methodically, he raises the flail, and delivers a telling blow, apparently significantly damaging the homunculus.

Ahki roars as his club smashes the first metal beast to pieces. The battleshout quickly turns to a cry of pain as the razor fangs of the second beast tear through his leg. Favoring his injured leg he spins around and swings his club sideways, but misses as the beast hops back just clear of the blow.

Kharas tries to find a better psotion, doing aquick step around teh Iron guardian the team is attacking, he tries to have bracket. He then tries to strike at the creatures.

[SBLOCK=OOC]5 foot moves and try to bracket. Attack 15 (17 if he is bracketing) for 7 damage, including his shock infusion.[/SBLOCK]

[Round 2]
Weapon slams his flail into the second iron defender sending up more sparks.

Kharas moves around behind the dog and sends sparks of his own in.

The dog looks heavily battered but Akhi is unable to connect.

The remaining dog bites Akhi again. Blood is now flowing quite freely from the barbarian.

Unable to see beyond their friends, Stulgar, Siobhan, and Mordin wait above to respond if needed.

[sblock=ooc]Damage Recap:
Akhi 4/15 remaining. not actually bleeding, thats just flavor :)[/sblock]
