Excellent! My plan is working thoughts exactly! ;) :D[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=OOC]Kharas havn't given his opinion because his goal have been acheived. He wanted to inspect that schema and he got his chance. He will just try to memorize it as much as possible, try to figure what he can from it. After all, Kharas goal is to understand the creation of a warforged and his working, and at some point, he will be fool motivated enough to turn himself into one (and thus becoming a Renegade Mastermaker, PrC in Magic of Eberron)[/SBLOCK]

[sblock=OOC]So, we are pretty much waiting to see if Kharas can decode the schema before re-moving on to tomorrow?[/sblock]

(OOC: I think so--it seems that the consensus is that it will be okay for Siobhan to go check with the main Cannith folks really quickly before they hand it over to Elaydrin, so that plus having Kharas look over it should be all we need to do before we finish this off (unless there's more combat encounters of course)

See, this is the point I'm having trouble with. None of us have any contacts within House Cannith, and Mordin did some factfinding at the beginning of the adventure that indicated everything was on the up-and-up. Siobhan hasn't given us any reason to assume that she's not bugnuts crazy, and I don't see how you are going to get to someone high enough rank to convince yourself that she's not up to no good.

If you want to run off and try to chat up some House Cannith, be my guest, but Mordin isn't going to let the schema out of his sight until he gets paid. ;) [/sblock]

(OOC: Siobhan doesn't plan on bringing the schema either, lest the Cannith folk prove duplicitous and claim that all schema automatically belong to them in an attempt to seize it--of course, she doesn't want Mordin to steal it and hand it over to Elaydrin while she's checking with Cannith either, so she'll need someone (perhaps Akhi in the hopes of more gold, sadly probably not Stulgar it seems) to guard it while she goes to check.

Going to Cannith is sort of a compromise for her because she doesn't trust them either, but they would be foolish not to see her about this opportunity, particularly if its a schema they don't know about and Elaydrin's working for some evil third party--all Mordin found out is that she is indeed a member of the House, which doesn't tell us if she's working for baddies or not. All it takes is "I found a secret hidden schema that does X (determined by Kharas) and fought off agents of the Lord of Blades who wanted it too" and they should be giving her an audience or simply saying "Yeah, we all know about that schema already--shouldn't you be talking to Elaydrin?" which indicates she's clean as far as we can tell.

Sorry if Siobhan's being annoying--I'm reminded how much I hate being the only Good character in a party of Neutral (and one Evil) mercenary-types who just want money and don't care about abetting Evil :( This happened to me in a Face-to-Face game too with many then-frustrating and now-humourous stories :\ )

Now that Ahki has got his mind wrapped around the idea of a bigger reward he won't want to turn in the schema to the woman until we find a better offer. He'd go along with the idea of watching over the schema until we find out if there is more money out there to be had.

This is my first evil character, usually I'm in your shoes playing the good guy.
"Guys, there is a reason we can't burn down the city just to kill the BBEG..."
"No, taking over the super evil summoning ritual would be a bad thing..."
"We're not using the prisoner as monster bait for more exp..."

Kharas takes his time working with the schema for quite a few more hours. While he is certain that it is the schema they were looking for, it is unlike any other one he had seen. Neither his father's trap schema, nor the more common artificer schema used to describe infusions looked anything like this adamantine plate.

Kharas manages to decypher a few of the runes, and in doing so makes a key discovery, this small metal plate is only a piece of a larger work. The edges of the adamantine star contain small grooves that might lock them into place on a bigger piece. Some of the phrases seem to be prematurely cut off, thus hampering his translation.

The words he does manage to piece together have something to do with the warforged, but not necessarily their creation. Concepts explored in the few words he can make out transcend anything that truely makes sense, though he is most definitely intrigued.

(OOC: Interesting, a piece of some kind of giant artifact schema--definitely worth more than 2000 gold, and possibly still a super-death-weapon that will create another Mourning :()

(ooc: in essence something above the understanding of a 1st level artificer and a part of something greater. could just be a historical text, you really have no clue. No one has checked yet, but it does not radiate magic.)
